Question? I just started running , and I'm still learning. I've been trying to do some research on google about running far as mph, speed and how many minutes in a mile. Do y'all know of any websites that will help enlighten me? Because I am lost. Lol I also would like to know how to run without losing my breath? Right now I'm doing intervals and so far so good, but I still get breathless.

You will be out of breath for a while! I did 7 miles straight this weekend and was out of breath at times. Take it slow and don't push yourself to burn out. There are programs like couch to 5k (C25k) that will take you from not running at all to running 3 miles.
I am not sure what you are referring to about what you are researching. I would say right now do not worry about speed! Worry about making sure your form is good and enjoying what you are doing. When you are more comfortable with how you feel with running and go for longer periods without walking find a website that you can mark your running route on and write down the distance. Run that route and record how long it takes you from start to finish. After you cool off take your time and divide it by your miles. EX: you ran 3 miles in 33 mins...11 minute mile.
Good luck and enjoy it!!!0 -
Runner's World has a ton of programs, tools to calculate pace, etc on their website. They also have a training log where you can log your runs. It's fun at the end of the month or end of the year to see how many miles you've run.0

COUCH TO 5k IS THE BEST!!!0 -
^I'll second Couch To 5k. It really helps you get a grip on all the things you mentioned and emphasizes getting prepped to do the distance (a 5k is a bit over 3 miles) first. Once you can run for 30-40 minutes at a time, then you start looking at how to get faster.

I also recently started running - and it was after many years of not running. One bit of advice that i'd give you is to not push yourself too hard or too fast. I was trying to run faster than I was ready for, and ended up hurting my knees, which kept me from running for nearly 3 weeks.
Now I"m building up, but I run a little slower. For me, it's not really about speed, but rather just about being out there doing it. I"m almost up to doing 3 miles now and feeling good in the process.0 -
Don't worry about sped, worry about form and proper breathing. I run like a heard of stampeding turtles (read as SLOW) but I can run for 5+miles without running out of breath.0

Form is more important than speed.

Your speed will increase with experience. Your breathing will increase with fitness.
Make sure to get fitted for shoes, do cross training a couple of days a week, and do the Couch to 5K app if you're interested in getting to that distance.
Most of all - have fun!0
