Implanon/Exercise/Periods

I had Implanon put in a little over a year ago and I have loved it. I had my period on and off for the first month and nothing since then (and who wouldn't like that?!). I gained weight, but it wasn't because of the implant (it was because of my back and 8 months of doing nothing but eating the same).
However, ever since I started this weight loss regime, more specifically since I started running, I started spotting at least once every other day. And then this morning I woke up and I had my period! (Explains why I have been so hungry and a little dizzy these last few days).

Just wondering, has anyone else using Implanon, or even anyone in general, found that exercise has caused them to get their periods?

I dont use Implanon, but I am on depo. I never get a period, ever! But now that I have lost 18lbs and work out a lot more than I did, I have been spotting/full blown period for about a month. I have an appt with my gyno at the end of the week, not sure if this is normal.

I had Implanon inserted in October and didn't have any spotting or anything until January. In January all h*ll broke loose. I'm either having a full blown period or spotting every 8 to 12 days. I'm not sure it's from exercise because I haven't gotten much of that done lately.

Don't get me started!!! I've got implanton and its a nightmare. Ok for first 6 to 8 months but since has got worse and worse. In may it will be 2 years. I've been waiting to get it removed since last October!! As since last summer I've more or less had a period or spotting bar a few random days!!! Doctors wanted me to give a year to settle but by last October I had enough, but had to wait to get removed and then had 2 appointments cancelled!! Finally went last week to remove it and gp couldn't as they said its too deep. Got to have scan and hospital appointment to do it. I feel for you coz it's awful and made me feel awful, my skin has been affected. First 6 weeks of this year was a period. It's a joke. Had 2 weeks ok then back on last week!!! Arghh doc did agree its not working properly. Wish I could get it out!!! Am sure it hinders my weight loss to!! Ps sorry if this us really negative but I hate it!!!

I've heard all the horror stories, but until now I have loved it. I was always in so much pain during my monthlies that not having them was fantastic, and I would happily put up with the spotting that I have had for the last couple of weeks to never have them again. It didn't start until I started running though, so I wonder about the connection between the contraception and the running.
Hope you get yours out soon!

I had the Implanon for over a year with absolutely no bleeding/spotting whatsoever! But as soon as I started eating right, exercising and doing what I needed to do to lose weight, I started random spotting and bleeding (sometimes for weeks at a time). The weird thing for me is that if I am spotting/bleeding and I step on a scale my weight has went down. The day it quits (and everyday after til it starts again) my weight has stayed the same or went up...Like clock work! I hate it and am thinking about having it removed also.
