What I hear "You'll be on my donkey chain"

Could someone explain what "Like a G6" means? I'm sure they're not saying they're like a Pontiac coupe...

    My favorite misheard lyric:

Misheard: I want Joe Biden! Need Joe Biden!

Actual: I want 'cho body! Need yo body!

I can't unhear it. And I much prefer singing that in the car.

  • When my Daughter was smaller, she heard this by Prefab Sprout
"Hot dogs, jumping frogs, I love cookie"
    Real words are
    "Hot dogs, jumping frogs, Albuqurque"

The country band "Florida Georgia Line" has a song called "Cruise".
    One of the lines goes:
I got a brand new Chevy with a lift kit, Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it
    I thought it went:
I got a brand new Chevy with a lift kit, Would look a hell of a lot better with you UNDER it .
And I was like "man, thats really messed up."

Bryan Adams- How do you talk to an Angel
When I was younger I thought the words were..."how do you talk to an engine" so my dad would always change the words in the next line to "it's like trying to catch a runaway car" actual words..."how do you talk to an angel its like trying to catch a falling star"
    Oops ha

    An oldie

    Doors

"There's a killer on the road, his brain is squirming like a toad"

    Sounded to me like:

"There's a killer on the road, his name is Squirrelly Lanky Joe"

Hey, it makes as much sense my way as the right way.

    A friend of mine thought:

Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know: "Does she speak eloquently" was "Does she speak ebbaquanese"

When I was a kid I thought Falco's - Amadeus, was saying Hot Potatoes

for me I always thought of...sigh

    Doobie Brothers-

Until about 2 years ago I thought it said "Give me the beach boys and free my soul"

    Yea, no

"Give me the beat boys and free my soul"

I still have issues when I hear it lol :embarassed: :blushing:
  • My biggest and probably most hilarious misheard lyrics are from Semi charmed life by third eye blind.

I heard: She comes round and she goes to town with me.
Its actually, She comes round and she goes down on me.

I heard: "And I speak to you like a quarter to a hearse, drop another time like a coma in with a curse"
Its actually: And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse, drop another line like a coda with a curse"

I heard: Doing critical math will lift you up until you break
Its actually "Doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break"

I still love the song but after finding out the real lyrics I've laughed at the fact that I used to sing it at the top of my lungs at 8 years old.

If you watch Glee you heard the dancing shoes one on the scene where Kurts Dad marry's Fen's Mom. They sing that song during the start of the wedding! "I think I want to marry you" I think it's called.

There is one song that will always stand out in my mind! I college I had a roommate that was very religious and very naive. I was listening to the radio and Marc Anthony's "I Need to Know" came on.

    What he says:
My every thought is of this being true
It's getting harder not to think of you.

She got the most horrific look on her face and asks "Did he just say 'it's getting harder not to finger you?!?!?' "

I laughed so hard! Imagine the most church mousey person you know blurtting that one out.

Blink 182's What's my age again
Misheard as That's my Asian Friend.

From the same song, I always heard "I wore cologne to get the feeling right" as "I walk alone to get the feeling right". I doubt I'm the only one to mishear that one though, since they're phonetically identical.

All Around The World by Paul Simon I heard as "the sun gets weary and the sun goes down, ever since the watermelon". So naturally I assumed I misheard it and looked it up. Turns out they actually are the lyrics, they just don't make any sense.

    Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody-

Real-I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango

The way my friend sings it-I see a little silhouetto of a man, Gotta mooch, Gotta mooch will you do the fan dancing

First time I heard her sing that I nearly died laughing.

    Foreigner-Juke Box Hero-

Real-Saw stars in his eyes and the very next day

What I heard-Saw stars in his eyes and the bird that's tame

Real-Like a trip through the past to that day in the rain....

What I heard-Like a truck through a pass that day in the rain....

Titanium - David Guetta ft Sia

"BRICK OF SHAME, you take your aim....."

    The lyrics are in fact:

    "RICOCHET, you take your aim...."

That one courtesy of a Youtube clip.

    Nearly. Fcking. Died.

My sister used to sing "Renegades of Funk" by Rage Against the Machine as "Random Case of Funk"

And I sang "Let's Give Them Something to Talk About" as "Let's Get Them Something From Taco Bell"
