38 f Breast wont go away

I was 220 lbs at one point. I have lost my weight am 145lbs now but my breast is still to big. I am a 38 f, am been doing more resistant training to tone. I dont want to have a breast reduction.I no I cant spot reduction, but I feel as if my breast should have gone down some at least a 38 dd. I would be happy with. I just dont no how much more weight I have to lose to see my breast go down.I am 5 7 I want curves I dont want to be skinny. My question is should I keep losing or just focus on weight lifting will that help breast go down.

What is your issue with the size? Back issues? Clothing fitting? Just wondering because if so you could get a breast reduction covered under insurance. I know this depends on your insurance and certain reasons but I know someone who had it done because of back issues. If some other reasons then disregard.

Honestly, it sounds like they're just not going anywhere. I had lost weight in the past and my chest never went anywhere either. This time they did though. I personally think it was my running. They bounce around so much, my body decided they should be smaller LOL. I'm still a 36E right now, but better than a 42G! But realistically, given your weight, I don't think they're going to reduce for you so surgery might be your only option.

My back my shoulders dents in my shoulders. I still have to where xl some large shirts I am in a size 6 pants. I look so unportion in size I look like am going to tip over. I just scared of surgery when its not that nessary. I was hoping to lose it with weight lost . maybe I will try jogging thats one workout I dont do cause of my knees I am willing to try anything at this point.

Some women would kill for this. LOL. I have a friend who is very well endowed and it seems always will be although she's been losing quite a bit of weight.

Perhaps you would see a reduction if your body fat percentage continued to drop- not necessarily your weight. I don't have empirical data, but it seems to make sense that if you focused on weight lifting you would see an overall body fat reduction that would decrease your breast size. That's not to say cut out cardio, but maybe give some more time to your weights.

Some women just won't lose there - I was a G cup at my highest & lowest weights. Finally decided to have a breast reduction, best thing I ever did!

I wish I had good news, but I personally had to resort to the thing you're not wanting to do, which is a choice I would never go back and change. If you ever were considering it, you could talk to me :) but I know you're hoping to be able to lose it without surgery which I understand.

The cup is determined by the difference between your bust and ribcage measurements. F just means there is a considerable difference. Your breasts probably have gotten smaller at the same rate as the rest of your body. A 38 F would be smaller breasts compared to a 42 F, and larger breasts than a 34 F, but the difference in bust and ribcage measurements remains the same. If you want smaller breasts more proportioned to your body, you'll probably need surgery to do it.

Try lifting heavy weights. It's mostly genetics, but I lift and I have gone from a 38E to a 34B. I think much if it has to do with DNA, but I don't think my lifting hurt me at all. They are much perkier than they would have been had I done diet alone.

And for those who don't see this as a problem - you don't know anything until you have them, along with the chronic back pain and trouble finding shirts that fit.

This is my problem too, I lost just under 50lbs a few years ago and my boobs didn't reduce, in fact although I went from a 38" to 30" band, I actually went up in cup size to accommodate them

I went to Bravissimo here in the UK where they fitted me and although I was pretty cheesed off that I had gone up in cup size, I was mega happy that my band had gone done by 8". However I couldn't believe how much smaller I looked with my new bras!

I have since put a few pounds back on hence why I'm on MFP but this time I'm going to be starting 30DS soon so I'm hoping that this may have some effect?!?

As long as they're healthy, then be proud of them I say!!

This for sure. If your going down in size ie 42 to say 36 then your rib cage or back is getting smaller. If your breast still need an F cup to accommodate then without surgery sadly, they will not get smaller.

Completely untrue. Some people lose there first, but it sounds like you and the OP are people who will lose there last. Once you get to a low enough bf%, they eventually shrink.

Your wieght resistance is the best way to naturally reduce the ladies. Especially without being too "skinny". I am the exact way. Sucks to lose all that weight and still have a hard time to shop. And remember your cup size is determined by the difference of inches betwwen your band size and your bust size. So if you drop a band size you could still be an F cup, even though they have gotten smaller.

I totally get the part about not wanting to be cut into.

I looked into breast reduction as well before I lost the weight. It wasn't so much the $8k price tag that put me off as much as how invasive that type of surgery is, along with the recovery time.

A breast reduction is much more complicated and expensive than breast augmentation. There is also a higher risk for complications.

Whatever you decide OP, best of luck to you!

Your breasts will not `shrink` you can lose bf% but if you have large breasts they will definitely not shrink.

First, congrats on your weight loss! 75lbs down is amazing! Frankly, considering that breast is mostly made of fat, i am amazed after all this weight loss that u havn t dropped at least one letter in your measurement (I believe F is the equiv of triple D.) Have u measured consistently throughout your weight loss? Was 38F your starting measurement? At 145lbs/5.7, 38 seems slightly over but i m no expert and cld be wrong. I believe that the only 2 ways to reduce your breast size is either by losing weight or paying a hefty service fee to a plastic surgeon. Based on friends' experiences and what i read, the second option is invasive, painful, has a high rate of success and is mostly safe, except the usual risks associated with most surgeries. ALL the women i know who had a breast reduction absolutely love the change, no regrets. But for every single one, their physician requested they lose as much weight as possible before the procedure. Check with a doc, see what s/he says. Good luck!

Breasts are made up of fatty tissue, and breast tissue (connective tissue, milk glands, ducts etc.). The relative proportion of each in any individual is largely genetic (although fat can of course be increased). Also, different women lose fat from different areas of their body first. I apparently had a lot of fatty tissue in my chest and it also seems to be one of the first areas to lose fat for me, so they've shrunk a lot. Sounds like you may have a greater proportion of breast tissue or perhaps that's your stubborn spot. If the former is true, you won't be able to change their size very much short of surgery once you've reduced your body fat.

No. As I said - even at my lowest weight. I was skinny, didn't need to lose any fat. The doctor said my breasts were dense, mostly fibrous tissue.

Uh, if you've lost that much weight already and you expect to lose that much of your breast size, I doubt you have an option other than surgery.
