Muscle Tone! and such a boost to your metabolism lifting weights.

I have a friend who is similar height/build to me, yet she weighs 10 kilos + less. She has zero muscle tone and is what my trainer calls "skinny fat".

    It ages you!!

Love the weights and my gym Can feel improvements in my thighs, and arms. I feel strong!

WOW... Definitely what I want LOL!

I am just coming to terms with the fact I am not so bothered about "weight" but more bothered about shape. I sooner be heavier and in better shape than weigh less and still be wobbly LOL

    ^ booty shorts, not panties.

Program - lift heavy. eat alot. I prefer to aim for the goal on every nutrition label Ive ever seen in America - "servings and nutritional value based on a 2000 calories diet"

    Good luck!

I follow this chick's example. I have her weights progress burned into my head. Thanks to her and a good guide, Im getting my own V now and feel like a badass everyday.

PS - here is how I started out at the very beginning. Dont be scared of the gym. Only be scared of only doing one kind of exercise.

been going since January and I have dropped one pants size and feel better than ever. I attend spin classes and resistance training classes where there's cardio mixed in with weights. I've seen others dropping weight fast too because they are doing it consistently about 5 times a week.

Before kids in 2007 when I thought I felt amazing and looked my best, probably between 200-210 pounds:
    ry%3D400

My heaviest - probably pushing 260 pounds a few weeks after my 2nd baby was born:
    ry%3D400

November 2011, about a month after I first started losing weight - down 9 pounds at 244 pounds:

Today after 1 & 1/2 years, heavy lifting 3X/week (wish I'd started sooner), and cardio at least 2X/week. Currently 199.5# Bam!:

    I eat 1800 calories a day...at least.

I love this! And the fact that it proves that muscle & body fat matters more than the scale! I am basically trying to do this^ Get some serious muscle and then lose the body fat to see some abs definition :)
