Hello all!!
I've been using MFP on and off for a while now and thought I should introduce myself.
A little about my weight story: I'm 5'3" and around 144 pounds. I'm not terribly overweight, but since I've strugged with my weight since childhood, carrying around 15 extra pounds makes me feel like a failure. I overcame an eating disorder (thanks to a fantastic outpatient program!) and take great pride in that accomplishment. But...since then...I've not only re-discovered food but also discovered how lovely a glass - or bottle - of wine is after a long day. Bad habits have take their toll on me mentally and physically and now I find myself heavier than I have been in almost 20 years.
But - I have a newfound sense of self and killer determination to really take care of myself and my body once and for all. I still love to eat and cook but do it more sensibly. I've also incorporated exercise into my daily life which is already improving my self-esteem.
I appreciate any support, tips, etc. this community has. Thank you in advance!!
