Green Coffee bean

Recently my mother has decided to get into shape and is also using a green coffee bean pill she saw on Dr. Oz. She states it promotes higher metabloism. She says it blocks sugar from being release into the blood stream as fast so that your body has more time to process it and doesn't get into your bloodstream in order to store as fat. I'd like to know if this is truly how this works? Has anyone else used this and did it work or is it a gimmick?

    I just saw my sister was taking this but I have never heard of it. So, interested to see if anyone knows anything about it!
  • I did read the research somewhere on green caffeine and does what it is supposed to for many people. For me, it really helped me with curbing my appetite so I couldn't eat as much, I also have noticed that my stomach has gone down quite a bit even though I have not lost any more weight in a while. That is because I am still eating some foods I should not be eating and did not realize quite how many calories are in these foods,even though I am eating far less in amounts of food, I still am working on not eating some high caloric foods like the chicken finger sandwich from Zaxby's, and spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic toast, oy... So, I have a long way to go. At least I didn't have french fries or soda, and the spaghetti portion was about a quarter of what I was eating just a few weeks ago. I asked my doctor about the green caffeine before taking them.

    you are going to get SO many mixed reviews for this. there was on study published in some medical journal about the effects of it over a 5 month period done in India about a year ago. thats where all this Dr. OZ stuff started. and there have been studies for the GBCB exract done in the 90's and one of the hypothesis was it could POSSIBly help with obesity but there was not enough evidence. but it did help with like i dont remember lets say "diabetes" i did alot of reseach over the damn pill because i was interested. but i cant remember most of it cause it was all scientific stuff hahahaha. :laugh: :embarassed: and it has to be like 90% something and she must take 1600 mg per day to be effective. i dunno. its crazy stuff. alot of weight loss things have the coffee bean extract in it. like Complete Nutrition Refirm, the leading ingredient is the GCB stuff in all the pills minus the multivitamin. My cousin swears up and down on the Raspberry Ketones. he said it uped is weight loss from 4-5 lbs /mth to 7 lbs/mth so i dunno. im taking Thermofit from ItWorks products. tell you mom to buy "greens" not necessarily from ItWorks but any local health food store i suppose. its awesome! i buy the itWorks Greens and I LOVE them. it helped clear up some of my acne. no joke. i dont promote those iTworks products just giving some background on what i;ve come across.
