fiber setting = 16 g/day???

I know it's *possible* to get too much fiber, but MFP is telling me I only need 16 per day, which seems pretty low to me. I had this idea that I should be shooting for 25 or so. I am new to the site & program, though, so I must be missing something. But what? (My base calorie recommendation is 1420.)
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can change your Goal for fiber here:

I am for 30 - 35 per day.0

My goal is currently 40 per day - I need to change it on here to match that.0

Please ignore all of their recommendations! I only use MFP to log (keeping myself accountable) and to gauge calorie intake. The protein/carb/fat recommendations are garbage.0

Mine is set to 18 per day. Does the job for me. If you feel you need more you can change it. MFP can recommend things, but you know your body best.0

Yes, try to get at least 25g per day.
MFP's default for protein is dreadfully low at only 15% of total calories and their default for sodium is too high at 2500mg, try to limit at 2200mg but the lower the better.

Thanks! Fiddled with my fiber and protein settings and feel better now.0
