Just what I said! Should I have some cheese now and eat some carrots before bed or vice versa? Which is healthier?

Per my RN, certified wellness coach, protein if your goal is to sleep better. The protein will take longer to digest, keeping your blood sugar levels stable. A drop in blood sugar can be a cause of restless sleep.

I actually sleep better on an empty stomach, but I know that isn't exactly good. I just ate the cheese now, so ah, well. I'll heed your advice tomorrow night, thank you :)

As far as weight loss, it doesn't matter one bit. As far as sleeping better...meh...that may vary from person to person.

Just FYI, cheese is a much better source of fat than protein. I wouldn't consider it a "protein" food, but it does have some...and it's yummy :)
