Does anyone use a Halogen Oven? I've read good things about it, e.g. quicker cooking times and they're economical on energy costs. I just wondered if it met your expectations.

I used mine twice...first time perfect succulent chicken. Second time same method, just wouldn't cook through, took ages and ended up so dry i couldn't eat it. Very tempremental. I know 2 others who felt the same. I really wouldn't bother!0

I bought one last year and use it for specific things: baked potatoes, chicken breast, fish. I tried a prime rib in it. no go... You won't get the real roasted taste as the halogen doesn't reach the blistering heat you need to sear the meat initially. It is also quite large so if space is an issue...0
