I had an allergy to apples and hadn't had one in years! Well it magically disappeared and I can eat them again. I started back with what I thought were my favorites: granny smith but I branched out and bought galas a few weeks ago and I love them even more. Last week I tried my first pink lady and although I like it, it doesn't top a gala. I look forward to trying them all :-)

Honey Crisp, but seasonal and expensive. Fuji is a close second.

Granny Smith has been my favorite for YEARS...I recently tried Fuji apples, definitely my second favorite! I find red/golden delicious to be 'grainy' - don't care for their texture at all.

honeycrisp and cortland. I know cortlands are generally used for pie filling but I love them on their own!
