I used to prefer Chocolate cake. Lately I've been enjoying yellow cake with whipped cream topping.
What is your favorite type of cake, and what flavor is yellow cake?

Finally, if you have a Wegmans near you, try the fruit cakes, they are to die for!

    I'm walking distance to wegmans and I love their tiramisu!!! But I have to say I love pineapple upside down cake. Or cheesecake. I actually prefer pie.

    Wegmans has all the best things.

    I've been mixing it up with my cakes..my favorite so far is the double chocolate cake mix, and before I frost it, I melt down either peanut butter, Andes mints, or butterscotch chips and spread it on the bottom layer...let it cool and harden and then frost the whole cake. Friggan delicious.

    My all time favorite cake is good ole strawberry.

    All cake. It is my #1 weakness.

    Recently I have been buying chocolate cake mix and mixing it with a can of cherry pie filling rather than the eggs and oil. YUM!

    Spice cake mix with a can of pumpkin pie filling and topped with cream cheese frosting is the best.

    I eat all the cake.

    I think yellow cake is "sugar" flavored.

    Basic Yellow Cake:
    Ingredients:

    2 cups cake flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1 cup sugar
    3 large eggs, room temperature
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3/4 cup milk

    I always throw in a little extra vanilla. WAY better than chocolate cake.

    For cake that's low in calories and really yum- take 1 angel food cake mix and 1 can crushed pineapple and mix. That's it, no eggs, oil, etc. then bake per directions on the box. If you want an icing or topping of some sorts, cut up fresh strawberries with a fat free cool whip or whipped topping.

    Red velvet cake with vanilla cream cheese fosting. What flavor is red velvet anyway? Also chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream fosting from Walmart. Dump cake made in the crock pot is awesome as well.

    Dammit! Now I want cake...:grumble:

    Yes I am a cake person, German Chocolate, White Almond SC, Yellow Cake (butter and whole egg) Fresh Strawberry...damn I can go on and on.
