Hey all---
About 2 years ago I lost about 40lbs with weight watchers, but since I have slowly put back on 20 of that. I have been battling keeping getting it back off since. At one point I was doing a bootcamp 4 days a week and burning close to 800cal a workout, I still lost no weight. I have a hard time thinking that I ate enough calories that I would gain over this.
Recently I started using Myfitness pal over weight watchers and have thought it helped a lot, but I still cant seem to stop fluctuating. For the last 2 months I have decided not to eat sweets or drink alcohol during the week and only allow myself to have it on Saturday. I don’t think that I could eat back all of my weight on one day.
I am hoping for some help on this I am getting really frustrated by this. I am currently going to school and working so working out isn’t something that I can do everyday, but I work on getting it in at least 3 days a week. But eating healthy and packing meals is not a problem.

This is probably why you're struggling:

Hello!!!! Have you tried eliminating your white refined sugars? Breads, pastas, etc. I started off doing this and I lost alot of weight. I lost 30 lbs doing my fitness pal and not doing any excercise. Then I plateaud and I knew I had to start incorporating excercise. Since then I have come to a stand still but I'm still tracking when I can. Try cutting back the carbs, some peoples body's just don't break down the nutrients properly and store it all. Feel free to add me.0

You can't think you didn't eat that much, you need to know that you didn't Log everything you eat, creamer in coffee, the candy from your co workers desk, the bite you tasted while cooking and weigh and measure everything. It has to be exact because most of us aren't very good at guessing how much we eat or how much we burn. You don't gain weight out of thin air so either you eat more than you think or you do less than you think or a combo of both.0

Hi! Glad you have joined MFP. You will find a lot of information on the forums and people will have so many things that they will suggest to help you lose the weight. The first thing you need to do is figure out how many calories you should be eating. If you have not done so already, then either follow the steps by searching "Roadmap" on MFP or go to this website: http://www.fitwatch.com/qkcalc/caloriedeficitcalculator.php. Once you know that, then just start counting your calories. have you incorporated exercise into your routine? that is also key! Honestly weigh and measure everything (which you are probably used to do since you did it on WW).
You can do this!!! Just stick with it!0 -
You are most likely consuming more calories than you think you are. If you're not logging everything, you don't know. I haven't ever don WW, but my mom did and she really struggled once she got to maintenance because WW never really taught her much in RE to calories in/calories out. Once she started logging calories she quickly realized where she was going wrong and made the necessary adjustments to her diet. She doesn't log now unless she feels her clothes getting tighter..she just needed a few weeks to train her on how her plates of food, etc should look.0

^^agree. Do you log your intake? Unless you are actually measuring and logging, you don't know how many calories you are consuming. Also, how are you calculating exercise calories burned? It's just that 800 seems a bit high to me. I just ran about 4 miles, and from using a HR calculator, figured I burned only about 330 calories. If you are thinking you are burning more than you actually are, and then eating back exercise calories, I can see how that would get you into trouble.
Also, beware of alcohol. That can slow down your metabolism by 1/3.0 -
Try these 6 things...
Reduce your carb intake and stop drinking your calories!
Park as far away as possible.
Take the stairs- general rule if it is less than 5 flights take the stairs.
Be less efficient- what I mean is take several trips instead of one. If you go grocery shopping and you have 5 bags then take 5 trips.
When you take the dogs out to pee walk down the hill and back up.
Chalenge yourself to do climb all three flights of stairs 5 times a day.0
