Any idea on what kind of ankle injury I may have

I went walking last weekend and my ankle has been hurting ever since. I sont remember twisting my ankle or doing anything out of the ordinary. It's not really swollen, but it is somewhat painful to walk on. It even hurts when I'm resting it. Lastly, when I press on the inside of my heel I noticed more pain. Ive never heard of ankle injuries without them being swollen, but I'm pretty sure something is going on here.

Same thing happened to me at the beginning of Feb, all of a sudden it just started hurting without swelling. I went to my GP and got an x-ray to make sure there were no broken bones or stress fractures. My GPp sent me to an ortho who said my ankles are just built kind of lose - which apparently is common in women - (and after thinking about it I realized that I do roll my ankles a lot, and when I talked to my mom she said she used to have the same problem when she used to run) and sent me to a PT to do some exercises to strengthen my ankle. So I would suggest you consult your doctor or research some ankle strengthening pt exercises.0

I have that issue too but after I changed my shoes from the flat skateboard shoes to running/walking shoes the pain went away.0

Will do! Thank you! I don't think I roll my ankles a lot, but my ankle does pop a lot.0 -

I wear running shoes, and they've been fine before. Not sure why their would be a problem now.0 -
Are you flat-footed by chance? I am and tend to get arthritic like pain in my ankles. I could solve it with arch supports but they bother the crud out of me0
