Ok, so I have a problem. I have lost all the weight that I needed to lose. Go me! Sort of...
Now I have a problem with watching what I eat to an extreme. I can't help it. I know that I should eat a certain amount of calories per day... but I don't. I feel guilty if I go over a certain number and I fear that I will gain all of my weight back. I know it's irrational, but it is what it is. My first clue that I have a problem hit me this month when I didn't have my period (sorry guys) and I am 100% sure that I am not pregnant. I know that I should eat more daily (consuming less than 1200 calories per day is not healthy, and I am usually in the 900 cal/day range) but I can't bring myself to do it. I snack regularly (carrots, bananas, apples) but I am not getting enough. I know this. Does anyone else have this problem?
I think if I were to work out every day that I would be able to force myself to eat more, but I work two jobs, go to school and have a son... My time is thin.

it sounds like you should probably talk to a professional. if you continue to eat at that low of a level, you *are* going to end up gaining weight when you start to try to eat normally again because your body will have adjusted to that low level and won't know what to do when it gets a normal amount of calories. it's quite possible to lose/maintain weight through diet alone. find out your TDEE, and start to increase your daily calories by 100/day every month or so until you get to that. if you feel like you can't bring yourself to do it even at that slow of an increase, it might be time to look into treatment for disordered eating.0

Also, try and add things like Nuts to your diet. They are higher in Calorie, but are very good for you.0 -
You need to eat at maintenance and try to workout in order to be healthy and set a good example for your son. Make your Mom time active whenever possible.
Do speak with your doctor or other health professional. You're response to food isn't unusual but can lead to an eating disorder.0 -
keep granola bars in your purse for when you dont have time to eat but are hungry. I really dont see this as much of a problem, unless you start fainting and hurting yourself0

Thank you. That's actually really good advice. I do want to be healthy and I am trying to break the barrier, which is why I made this post. I'm going to give this a shot and try to make sure that I at least consume 1100 cal/day and so on until I am up to 1600 cal/day (which is where I should be)0 -
Turn around. I'll help you out.
Edit to say the obvious: You need to eat more.0 -

Agreed.
Unfortunately your body doesn't run off kicks in the butt.0 -
Please eat more! I ended up in the ER eating less then that with vertigo and a host of other issues. It's important to feed your body. I'll never do it again after seeing the look on my son face when he saw me on that strecher, all pale and unable to walk without falling over. Wake yourself up before your body does it for you!!0
