Looking Back

Last Friday was my weigh in. I gained .6 and it was very depressing for me. Having stayed under my calories and TOM coming, I figured it out to be mainly water retension. But still sad about it, nevertheless.
Now, 4 days later, I'm still upset about it, and discouraged to get back on that scale. I am planning on waiting till this coming Saturday to get back on, but I am still CRAZY worried that the .6 won't come off and I won't lose anything in addition to it.
I am still eating well and making the best choices, but why am I feeling so down about it? I just feel like after all the work I put in, I should see results....and because I saw negitive results it discouraged me so much. It's like I've been in this crabby funk since then...
Anything you suggest to help?

I know exactly how you feel. I always feel so discouraged whenever I gain and find it hard to get the motivation again. You're making the right decision to wait a week till you get back on the scales. Getting on any sooner might not be very accurate and will drive you insane! Keep going the way you are - make good food choices and exercise as you are and it WILL come off. Don't be too discouraged! Just you wait till you get on those scales on Saturday... :-)0

Try doing measurements as well as weigh ins. I've found that most of the time when I don't necessarily see any changes in the scale, or the scale goes up, that I have lost inches. And since muscle weighs more than fat I'm happy with inches lost at least I know I'm staying on track whether it looks like it on the scale or not.
Try not to worry about it, I'm sure everything will work out fine as long as you stay on track. Keep up the good work!
