I feel like so much of my success is because I've had something to strive for each week. One week of no fast food, then no eating out all together (did all the cooking & it was awesome [see blog]!!!). I'd like some ideas for my next goal. Please keep in mind I'm making baby steps so to say "Be vegan for a week" is very unrealistic, but I'm open to new ideas (and maybe the vegan week in a few months  ).
Thanks!

Maybe something that challenges your creativity (if you enjoyed the food preparation). Like, only fish and chicken as your meat for a week. I think it's fun to figure out new ways to make stuff instead of the same old recipe(s) you usually do.

Even better, maybe challenge yourself to try a new healthy food each day. Buy a star fruit if you've never had it, or make sloppy joes with veggie crumbles instead of hamburger, or try plantains ... obviously I don't know what you've tried and what you haven't, but to me, it seems like there's always something interesting I've never tasted in the produce department alone. I've found some new favorite foods by doing this!

If not about food, maybe go to the library and check out a new workout DVD for something you've never tried, yoga, pilates, boxing, whatever, and do it for the week. We both already know what a great discovery kettlebell was!

Just a few ideas ... hope they help!
  • you can try no breads... Bread, pasteries, donuts, cakes, cookies, none for a week...
Soon you can MASTER no sugar for a month!! just the nautral sugar in fruit!
    Good luck.

How about cutting back on sodium for a week by cutting out some processed foods? For example, you could make a breakfast sandwich (English muffin or sandwich thin, scrambled egg, slice of cheese) for about the same number of calories and probably less salt. Or if you want to do tacos, you could make taco seasoning (if you have spices on hand.... they get pricey if you have to go buy a lot at once!). I just started making that and like this one: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Taco-Seasoning-I/Detail.aspx

Or you could set a goal to get in 8+ glasses of water/day or to get in 5 servings of fruits/veggies a day... or exercise-wise to exercise a certain amount of time/week.
