workouts on treadmill and abs suggestions?

I was wondering if anyone had some neat cardio workouts on the treadmill? I have been alternating from walking on the treadmill with a 7.0 incline and going on the elliptical various days, and it's gets pretty...boring. I want to have some variation in workouts that makes me burn at least 400 calories minimum. If you have any ideas, post them here :D

Also, I am in need of get rid of my soft stomach, so ab workouts are welcomed too :)

I LOVE doing ab work! And I love a routine that has a nice smattering of pilates to elongate the core.

Of course, you cannot spot-tone, but when you do your abs, remember to do an all-around core routine.

The kind of routine I do varies, but often goes something like this:
standing abs/oblique work, like twists with weights,
standing side crunches or hip lifts
crunches of all types - straight form, crossed legs, side crunches, reverse crunches, etc,
    leg lifts and lowers,
holds with one or two legs,
    toe touches,
    hundreds,
    corkscrews,
    swimming,
    "froggies" and other rear-end pushes.

I have other things I love to do, but don't know the names.

I also work in a bunch of glutes because it all works into the same area.

    Hope that helps!

Start with a 5 minute warm up on the treadmill or eliptical. After that run at as fast as you can go for one minute. Followed by two minutes at a slower pace do this eight times. The second week go all out for two minutes and recover for two minutes. The third week go all out for two minutes and recover for one minute. Keep doing this until you can run for the whole time.

I am up to 3 minutes and one minute recovery. My goal is to run an eight minute mile.
