Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. Electric word, life. It means forever and that's a mighty long time. But I'm here to tell you there's something else - the afterworld. A world of never-ending happiness. You can always see the sun, day or night. So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one, Dr. Everything'll-Be-All-right, instead of asking him how much of your time is left, ask him how much of your mind, baby. 'Cause in this life, things are much harder than in the afterworld. This life you're on your own. And if de-elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy0

What ever doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. (As long as lead isn't involved) Right?

-Cuba Gooding Jr''s character in Men of Honor
You're 5 foot nothin', 100 and nothin', and you have barely a speck of athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college football players in the land for 2 years. And you're gonna walk outta here with a degree from the University of Notre Dame. In this life, you don't have to prove nothin' to nobody but yourself. And after what you've gone through, if you haven't done that by now, it ain't gonna never happen. Now go on back. -Rudy
Remember the Titans:
Coach Boone: We will be perfect in every aspect of the game. You drop a pass, you run a mile. You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile. You fumble the football, and i will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts and then you will run a mile. Perfection. Let's go to work.
Coach Boone: What are you?
Team: Mobile, agile, hostile!
Coach Boone: What is pain?
Team: French bread!
Coach Boone: What is fatigue?
Team: Army clothes!
Coach Boone: [Coach puts hand to his ear] Will you ever quit?
Team: No! We want some mo', we want some mo', we want some mo'!

let's focus on where you could end up, not where you were or are; and - God doesn't make a no-good ANYTHING. You just got to learn to listen and pay attention to that spirit inside you. And learning to listen - that takes a lot of discipline.0 -

Last year my father said to me, "If you do it now, it will be done."
He said this to me in the context of why he's so good and keeping his house clean, but I'm finding that it applies to a lot of things in my life. When I find myself thinking 'ooo, I'll do it later...' I try to catch myself and say _out loud_, "Self, if you do it now, it will be done!" And then I go and do that thing.0 -

Pai Mei: [in Mandarin; subtitled] It's the wood that should fear your hand, not the other way around. No wonder you can't do it, you acquiesce to defeat before you even begin.
failure before success
success is failing over and over again to get where you needed to be
If you ever rode a bike. You fell and you failed before you were ever able to ride.
You just had that incessant vigor to try again and again.
because you truly believed, and you knew, that you were eventually going to be able to do it.
You can either take the failure as end to your endevor. Or you can take it as a beginning to your SUCCESS.
