Peanut butter problem - makes me poop a lot?? Help!

Options
This is kind of a gross question, but whatever. So I absolutely LOVE peanut butter, and I've eaten a good amount of it every day for the past couple years. The thing is, lately every time I eat some (around 3-4 Tbsp.) I poop A LOT immediately after, sometimes within a minute after eating it. Then sometimes, I have really bad abdominal cramps. Is this a normal thing with peanut butter, or could I have developed some sort of resistance to it from eating so much? Or is it some other problem?

You may be developing an allergy to peanuts and that is not unusual when someone is exposed to a substance long-term, in large quantities. It is similar to someone that has developed an allergy to penicillin or becomes lactose intolerant later in age.

Did you switch brands to one with a lot of sugar?

It could be an allergy or you could be reacting to the fat in it.

Could it be a bad jar of peanut butter?

It's the same brand as always and other people have eaten out of the same jar. Plus, we go through a jar in a 2-3 days (whole family is big on PB) so I've had problems from many different containers.
