Odd question
So a buddy (guy) of mine got a tongue piercing. No he's not gay or anything but he says, "The ladies love it and find it sexy." That was his motivation for getting it.
Is this true?! I've always thought it to be weird.
I understand people who love piercings get it, that's fine. But this guy has no other piercings or even a small tattoo.
EDIT: Other than the obvious sexual reasons

I had my tongue done....and a few years later I took it out...they liked my tongue better0

I'm not sure why men thing women as a whole like it - it's no different then say a tattoo, or a preference for tall men vs. shorter. It's all up to the woman at hand - me personally - I think it's gross! And I have several tattoos and had peircings when I was younger so it's not that I'm against them at all - just think the idea is IKE! And PS I had my tounge done - again as a KID!0

I think they are okay (no preference either way) but they tear up your tooth enamel, and I think teeth are sexy.0

I think that piercings are ridiculous.0

No.0

Gross.0

I think it's dependent on the age of your friend. I had my nose pierced in my early 20's, and it was cute and cool until I kept seeing women my mom's age with their noses pierced as well.0

I think they are hella sexy!0

I don't like it ! Tattoos are much better!0

My ex gf had a tongue piercing. And this lady liked it.0

Not a fan of it.., but tattoos are hot0

I'm a dental hygienist and if people were shown pictures of the long-term and painful damage that results - nobody would get them.0

Dont get me wrong...Im all for artistic expression, I have several tatoos myself but have never gotten a piercing, other than traditional ear lobe piercings (as a child). I consider myself quite artistic, but I honestly think some piercings are a bit too much and are kind of gross. And like I said... to each their own in artistic expression, I just think certain piercings (including tongue piercings, horns, lip piercings, under-skin applications, Ear Stretching, etc etc) are a bit too much... and "IMO" they look bad versus attractive. I know they are all the rage with many people, I just think there are much better ways to distinguish yourself or express yourself... Anyhow, I cant comment on the sexual aspect as I havent expirienced that but I think any god-given part, unaltered without metal, would work just fine.0

doesn't float my boat in any way- but I suppose it's not meant to...I mean if a guy pierces his tongue it's for expression/show and a sex thing, I doubt it's so he can find an overweight somewhat dull mumsie person (don't get me wrong-I can rock...it just doesn't show on the packaging) and do his thang!0

I've never had any girl tell me my tongue would be better if it was pierced. That glassed over, exhausted look tells me it's just fine.0

I'm not a fan.. It ruins your teeth and smile.... Smiles are sexy! Tattoos however, are a different story0
-
Noo..don't get one.0

I am a fan of piercings, but a pierced tongue on a guy just never did anything all that spectacular for me. A Prince Albert on the other hand.... :bigsmile:0

sounds gay...not that theres anything wrong with that in terms of political discourse or strike getting.0

Piercings have an age limit now?0 -
I have found if a guy actually knows what he is doing there is absolutely no need for any kind of extra hardware. In fact I find tongue rings to be quite awkward and unnecessary but thats just me.
And yes I am pierced and tattoo'd (will be pierced until the day I die becaus thats just me) I just do not see the need for a tounge piercing.0 -
It makes most people lisp, not necessarily good for a guy....0
-
I had mine pierced for years - dated a guy who also had his done... I felt like it just got in the way on his end, and he didn't seem all that jazzed about it from my end either.
And it was weird to kiss and have them clink together.0 -
Not a fan.
Now an arm full of good art? Panty dropper.0 -
He should talk to an oral surgeon in a region where these are popular - turns out they undermine they damage the front teeth and jaw.0
-
"No he's not gay or anything"
That sentence wasn't really necessary.....,.
Anywho...my husband has one. I have one. I don't have a lisp, neither does he. 3 years of marriage and neither of our have ever gotten in the way of anything. Do I find it sexy? I guess so, but I'm more of an *kitten* girl. What I find really sexy is when he gets home from work and takes care of the kids.0 -
I had mine pierced for a while. I did it for fun, that's all. Then, it wasn't as fun, so I took it out.
I don't see why it would enhance anything sexually either. It's a tiny piece of metal or plastic. Your friend might discover this and take it out. It's not permanent.0 -
It does not enhance the experience at all...0
-
I had one, and it was fun....however I found that it got in the way...
i'm a girl...and when you have a one inch long rod in your mouth, you have two options, you can either only go so far, or you can twist your tongue to let things go further...
long story short, it got in the way of other things...
plus, if you are REALLY good, you don't need hardware....i can tie a cherry stem with my tongue...trust me...i don't need hardware....0 -
I don't think I would care, but the lisping and the clicking sound when it hits the front teeth are like nails on a chalkboard to me.0
