Looking for advise and motivation

I am 40 yrs old , want to loose 2 lbs a week.
This is my 5th day on MFP, not quit meeting my calorie goal due to exercise calorie credits, I have been eating more to try to hit calorie goal. I do eat pretty healthy no candy/ pop ect... Weighed myself today and gained a pound :( I'm so worried this is not working and is making me gain. Help need advise and support am I doing this right?

  • Don't worry about any initial weight gain. Really it just depends on what you are doing to lose weight if you are heading down the wrong path. Think of it this way, you may have just gained some muscle. Muscle burns fat. So you doing good!

    @computerHabit.....Thanks for the input, I have been doing 30 min treadmill @3.5 mph in the morning, 30 min walk fast pase during lunch @ work then 30 min treadmill @ 3.5 mph in the evening after work. Like I said I am pushing myself to eat the recommended calorie goal but I'm off by average 100 cal. This is only my 5th day :) or :(. If anyone wants to be friends for support and advise system only I would like that......I'm not much on useless chit chat that doesn't have anything to do with keeping on tract and positive :)

    If you want specific advice you'll have to open your profile and diary. :) It's hard to form any opinions when we don't know your stats and what you're eating. It's doubtful that you've gained muscle in 5 days, though. Women just don't gain it that fast, and it takes a calorie surplus to put on muscle.
