Everyone will agree that walking, jogging, and biking are good for your health and aid in weight loss.

Here is the problem – walking or biking the same route every day gets boring!

My suggestion…Set small goals you can see on a map to help keep you motivated, and watch the miles add up!.

This is the challenge - keep track of your distance on a map and see how far you walk or bike - who knows, you just might make it around the globe!!! It doesn't matter if you start fresh today or if you have already walked or biked many miles prior to this challenge - they all count!
So....
1) Strap on a pedometer and start walking, or mount your stationary bike and start peddling.
2) Log your steps/miles at the end of each day.
3) Mark the miles you have covered on the map/globe with a stick pin.
4) When you reach a chosen destination, share it here in a post.

Good luck and best wishes to my fellow globe-trotters!!!

Example:
The US is about 3200 miles across and 1 mile is equal to about 5280 feet. So it would take about 16,896,000 steps for the average woman to walk across the United States.

It is approximately 4108 miles (6611 km) between Boston, Mass. and Rome, Italy.

Feeling REALLY adventurous???
The circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 kilometers)!!!

I'm going to see where I end up by tracking my miles for June, July & August.
So far I've walked 12 miles in June.

I'm at 13 miles now. That would get me to the state park on the river.
