I'm 5'1" (in shoes)... medium frame by the wrist test (although I do have broader shoulders, grew up a farm girl LOL)
start weight was somewhere over 170
goal weight is 120-125 (toned)... haven't been there in over 15 years (and I wasn't toned then)0 -
I'm probably the exception on here. I'm not quite 5 feet, thin framed, and petite all over. I am at my 'goal' weight (90) and would actually like to put on 5 pounds of muscle. And no, I do not have an eating disorder, I've always been really tiny (130 when 9 months pregnant)0

With the wrist test, I'm not so sure I agree with that because after losing 35 lbs, I've had to go to the next notch on my watch. I've had to stop wearing my wedding ring, too out of fear of it falling off! We do lose weight in those areas, too. Just something to keep in mind. I think as you near those lower numbers, then do the wrist test and see...just my opinion.
I agree. I thought I was medium my whole life until I lost 30 lbs, now I am sure I am small.
I am a short 5' 3" (I try to stand really tall at the Dr office lol) with a small frame and my goal is a toned 125 with a healthy BMI. I am going for 125 because I know that I will go up and down a bit just living life and I want to stay under 130. So I figure that if I make 125 my goal if I sneak back up a few pounds I can get back control before I pass the 130 and still look great. I know that once my mother makes her Christmas dinner I will gain, my birthday week I will gain, summer BBQ for the 4th I will gain, ect. I am trying to plan ahead for those times. :laugh:0 -
I'm 5'3.5 and 123 lbs, small frame. My bodyfat is 20% using Accu-measure calipers and my measurements are 33.5 - 26 - 34.5.
I'm not focused on a particular weight (despite what my ticker might say), but I would like to be at a lower body fat percentage. Basically, I want a six pack. Or at least a four pack.
At this point I would feel perfectly fine staying the exact same weight, if it meant just replacing some of the remaining body fat with lean muscle. (To see an actual example of someone who has done this, take a look at Sarah Kensington here: http://www.burnthefatinnercircle.com/public/Burn_The_Fat_Challenge_2009_Special_Category_Winners.cfm She actually gained a pound on the scale during this competition but went from 19% body fat to 12.6%!)0 -
I'm 5'3 with a medium frame and at the moment I'm aiming for 130 but i think i might take that down into the 120s depending on how I feel about my figure but I definitely don't want to loose my curves!0

I am 5'3" with a large frame and aiming for 120 lbs, but that is due to joint problems & suggested by my orthopod. I know I look really good at 130 lbs., (flat abs, still have a chest) and the last time I was in the 120s, some things started to look worse Anyway, if it weren't for next year's IM training, I would be quite happy at 130 lbs.0

I am 5 ft 1 and 1/2 inch. I currently fluctuate between 126-129. My original goal was 115 but at it has gotten closer and is such a struggle to get there I have realized that 120 would be great. I am a medium frame. As an adult I have been as low as 102 but now nearing age 46...I am ok with being really fit and weighing a bit more. I want to lose this last 6-9 but more importantly I want to be more fit.
Congrats to our goal hitters!!! You look great!!!

I'm 5'4 and aiming for 130 to start. According to the frame test, I have a large frame (which kinda sucks). I know I was 120 and below in high school and early college but I was way more active (soccer) at that time. I'm only 27 so I'm hoping to assess how I feel at the 130 range and decide if it looks like I can lose more weight. I want to be fit, healthy, and toned but I don't want to be too skinny. I've always liked myself with some muscle mass.0

*high fives* I'm 5' 1" and 95 lbs. I empathize with you; it is really irritating to get asked "Do you eat?" all the time. I eat when I'm hungry (and sometimes even when I'm not); not much more one can do. My high school weight was 98 lbs, so I assume that's kind of my ideal weight? I've gotten as low as 89 lbs after having a bout of stomach flu and as high as 102 lbs after homestaying in a sushi restaurant for half a year (and I have to say, my host family would feed me ridiculous amounts of food, sometimes it was uncomfortable). According to the wrist test, I'm also very small-framed, as my thumb actually overlaps past my first knuckle (Or maybe I just have long fingers?).0 -
I'm 5'2 1/8" (the nurse that measured me said us "short ladies" need all the height we could get. *smack*
I'm aiming for about 130...I'll know more when I get around that weight.

I squeeze to bone on the wrist test and even at my thinnest was unable to touch my fingers together so I think as long as you really try to touch them and can't do it, it's safe to say you're large framed.0 -
I am 5'1 and small framed. I am aiming for 100-1200

5'2" and (currently) have a large frame! I'd love to see 120lbs. I averaged 125-130 thru high school, and was considered 'the fat girl' then. Now, 140lbs is at the high end for me...let's get there and see how it feels!!!! (Since it's been almost 20 years since we've see each other!! )0

:drinker: :flowerforyou: I am 5'3" and currently weigh 111 (my goal is 110).......when I weighed 183 I was convinced that I was probably only 20 pounds overweight but when I got into the 160's I realized that I was kidding myself......I have continued to change my goal and as long as I still have too many "jiggly parts" i may continue to lower my goal.......I fit into the size 4 Levis I found at a store in my small town and I'm happy with that.......when someone tells me that I'm "fading away", I say "thank you"......my energy level is the highest it's ever been so I'm happy.   :bigsmile:0

I am 5'1 1/2" tall with a small frame according to the wrist test. I am currently around 137lbs and my ultimate goal weight is 115lbs. 2.5 years ago I got down to 119-123 and was happy with that so even if I can't get down to 115 I'm alright with a toned 1200
-
I'm 5'3", and my goal weight is 140. That's on the high end of the healthy weight range for me, but I was 280 at my heaviest, and 140 would put me at 50% of my body weight lost. When I get to 140, I'll revisit my goal and decide if I am happy there or if I want to try for 130.0
-
I'm 5'3.75" and medium framed. My goal weight is 140. I was 145 when I was 15 and met my husband. I was still "heavy", but I had curves. I'm 28 and have 2 kids (both c-sects) and have never been less than 235 in my adult life, so I don't know what will look good on me. I will re-assess as I get close to reaching my goal.0

I'm 5'3 with a large frame. My goal weight is 125... I currently weigh 211 so I have a long way to go.0

4'11" small frame and my goal is 115 and when I get there I will r-eevaluate to see if I need to lose more. Was 98 in high school (back in the dark ages) and 107 after I had my three boys, now in my 50's and started MFP at 152, have lost 24 and plan on keeping this off for my health!0

Good question!:drinker:
I'm 4'11 and three quarters of an inch, small frame.
Weighed 96 lbs :noway: when started college.
Current goal is size 10 this year then re-assess.
:laugh:0 -
I'm just a teensy bit taller...I know i look good at 115 but right now would be very happy with 120.0
-
I'm 5'2" with a medium frame - my goal is 136, the top of the healthy BMI range, and somewhere I haven't been since I was about 15!0

As a side note - where do you petite ladies first SEE the weight come off? I know when I gain it's in the belly typically (or at least more visible there)... but this last time I've noticed the weight loss in my FACE first.
Granted I'm not complaining about my face thinning out, but what about the pants, come on now! :laugh:0 -
I haven't even noticed any weight loss yet (but I'm just down 10 pounds)... but typically it is most obvious in the belly area and the face for me... those are about the only places I have for fat to go!0
-
I haven't lost any scale weight this go-round (since Jan of this year)... and my clothes fit exactly the same... but my face is thinner.
Now I just need to convince my gut to catch up to that. :laugh:0 -
I am 5'2"; I used to be 5' 2 3/4", so I have lost height already. I am 59, so I hope I don't lose any more height. I am large boned and weigh 145. I would like to weigh between 133-135 (a healthy BMI rate). But, it sure gets harder to lose weight when you get older!:ohwell:0
-
I'm just shy of 5'2" and 134 lbs. I have lost 30 lbs and range between a size 4 and 8, depending on what the clothing and brand is. My ideal weight is 122 since that would put me right in the middle of a healthy bmi. I've just adjusted my goals and settings on MFP to lose 1/2 lb per week instead of 1 lb per week now that I am in the healthy bmi range.
I've noticed the weight come off everywhere but I am really seeing it in my butt and thighs.0 -

I've lost it on my face and my belly (i have never really lost from there before) but I now appear to look a bit pear shaped which i thought was physically impossible with my dimensions0 -
Hi all
I am 4'11 and a bit and small frame
As a young woman I was always between 120 and 125 pounds
I will be 50 in a few weeks and have been sitting at 138 for a couple of years
I'm hovering about 135 at the moment but finding the bit under my chin all the way down to my knees tricky to shift! Ha ha
I have got a new treadmill which I am learning to walk on and using the Wii active, just completed the 30 day challenge which only really is getting me a bit fitter not thinner.
I am living in Ireland the last 6 years after moving here from UK, a lot of the threads here are US and some of the exercise DVD's I hear you all on about are from the US....
anyone out there got any ideas for a lady like me to shift and tone the middle regions?
Butterfly
Bust 38"
Waist 33.5"
Hip 41"0 -

People said my face looked smaller but I didn't see it. I first noticed it in my boobs, I have so far lost 3 sizes there. But I am not upset about that, they were BIG! My guy tells me to stop losing, I think he is sad to see them go, lol, but I was not losing for him so he can stop it. Once I am at a mid range healthy BMI I will be happy.0
