Found this article AOL.

I found it interesting, all though I am not sure if it is really true or not.

Let me know what you think!

Oh I've heard this before! And they are so high in sodium! I've heard back about the chicken too which some other sandwich commercial says that on their commercial too! I now stay away!

    Yep, it's true.

I enjoyed the comments. Most people actually missed the point of the article and ranted about all kinds of ridiculous things.

I only eat Subway once every 2 weeks or so......so I am not bothered by the article

Not sure which other Franchise paid for that article to be written.......moderation is my key

Because they play their games with us all the time....just to steal business from their competitors

I read that a few days ago... I was more concerned by the fertilizer used to make the "9 grain" bread brown instead of white because there aren't really grains in it :noway:

The comments were the best part of the article but that aside, here is how I look at it. I am fortunate to live in an area with LOTS of food choices, so I eat hardly any fast food outside of work. When I am at work and dont bring my lunch I have 2 choices: Subway or MCD. So I look at the two menus and figure out which will fit in my calorie counts for the day (and balances all my other needs).

If you are just looking at subway sure its not the healthiest place you could eat at, but when you compare it to your other options its not the worst choice either.

Sorry but I have to vent and riff on this.

You know it's these deceptive advertising practices that just 'effin pisses me off. We work hard at getting healthy, getting the right nutrition in our body and working out until we're about to puke and we are being thwarted left and right. We are being lied to right to our face and these guys are laughing all the way to the bank, while we get sicker and sicker as a people. Don't even get me started on the health care insurance industry, who by the way are the LARGEST institutional investors of fast food companies (that's a nice and cozy relationship don't you think?). We are being used and abused and deceived for fun and profit and deep down inside we know it, yet continue to let the companies do massive damage to our society, our hormones and our genes.

Things are so badly arranged. The stuff that is good for us like organic fruit and veggies are so expensive, but the stuff that is killing us is cheap. This is *kitten* backwards if you ask me. The small voice inside my head of the conspiracy theorist in me is yelling "population control!"

    I feel better now.

So glad I don't eat fast food EVER. Even the options that seem 'healthy'- ARE ANYTHING BUT!!!

We are all much better off brown bagging.

Amen! I was just complaining yesterday how expensive produce is (I realize I could garden and will next year), and it's ridiculous!
