PCOS and healthy weight?

I found out this morning i have PCOS, i've tried researching it but nearly everything i can find is talking about being overweight. I am far from overweight and have never been overweight either. If my blood sugar levels came back fine does this mean i still should be able to lose weight ok or does PCOS still affect your weight? I don't want to eat what I have been doing then find I'm not losing weight. Also is there anything I can do that will increse my chances of ovulation? I don't want to go on the contraceptive pill as i feel this would do more harm than good.

hey bex i don't have PCOS, but i would recommend searching the forums for past topics (i've seen a lot of people post about it) and see if you can find a group too. good luck with it all! you're very lucky to have not been struck by the weight gain that sadly often comes hand in hand with this :-/0

Go to an OBGYN if you havnt already. THey will check your ovaries for cysts. Then they will give you a blood test to check if you are proccessing insulin correctly ( this is NOT the basic Glucose test) If it is found that you are Insulin Resistant, then the doctor might put you on Metformin, which helpd a lot of women with PCOS0
