Check out the books by Brendan Brazier called THRIVE. Great info on ways to eat raw or cooked at very low temps so as not to denature the nutrients. Geared towards athletically minded folk, but great for everyone when it comes to the nutritional info and recipes.

12 Steps to Raw Foods: How to End Your Dependency on Cooked Food was a good book.

After seeing how skinny you are in your pictures I don't think I can help. Good luck.
  • I'm on my second attempt of eating a raw diet. The first was about 8 months ago, and I lasted for three months. I felt wonderful, the only reason I stopped was because my husband got out of the military and we moved across the country and between that time I just didn't keep disciplined. I just started again yesterday. Make sure your getting enough calories, that is the biggest part. Normally people watch their calories to make sure they don't over eat, its opposite with eating raw. Today so far I have only eaten about 1000 calories and I am not hungry at all, but I know I need to eat more so I will be making myself a snack shortly. The simplest way to eat raw is to stick to basics, raw fruit, veggies and limit your nuts and seeds. Towards the end of my three months I started eating alot more nuts, but it was because I wasn't eating enough fruits and vegetables to keep my body happy. Always bring snacks with you wherever you go....I know I get hungry alot faster with this lifestyle and you don't want to waste all your hard work by not being prepared. :D I can't give you a lot of tips because I'm still new at this but these are things that I have learned from experience. Also, don't let people convince you that you are not being healthy.. I had alot of people tell me that you can't live like this but I believe you can. I have some medical issues that lead me to learn about a raw lifestyle, I wanted a natural approach rather then getting prescriptions. Good luck!

Gather as much information as you can. I would recommend reading Denise Minger who talks a lot about a raw diet.
