When were you in the best shape of your life and why?
Mine: Highschool football. Two practices a day in the summer heat with pads on.

now!
i eat well and exercise regularly!0 -
Now. Most definitely.
I think my idea of a workout before was a quick walk around the park. When I first started going to the gym, even jumping jacks would get me out of breath. Now I've come to look forward to the burn!0 -
Right before I got pregnant last June0
-
I hated freaking two-a-day's. It was always horrible but yeah definitely was in the best shape during high school football.0

Right now...at 40!!0

If I'm basing it on relativity, it would be now because I would compare my fitness and health now to people of the same age. But if I were to base it solely on my OWN physical shape, it would be when I was 27 and competing.

Now, I'm fitting into clothes I couldn't wear (size wise) when at school, so 14years in some cases.0
-
Early 20's. I was walking a lot (just generally - to get places), and doing circuit training.
But I'm going to be in better shape than that, soon.0 -
Now I was very overweight even back when I was 13 years old lol Almost in the ideal range now and got a few muscles0

September 1975 when I graduated from Army Basic Training, and then the next 20 years while I was still in.0

Back in August. Thinnest I've ever been- looked great in my bikini, etc. However, I may have been in the best shape but I was overdoing the exercise. I lost my period. I've had to gain weight back to get my period back and back off the exercise a bit.0

Late high school/early university. I did a lot of dancing and swimming. But ate a lot (and a lot of crap). Was skinny, but probably not very healthy overall in terms of nutrition.
Summer 2005 I was probably healthier, but definitely not as thin. I was working at a job where they had an on-site gym and I worked out every day. I was tracking my calories and eating the healthiest I'd ever eaten in my life.0 -
Now. Sure I was thinner in high school but I couldn't run a mile without dying and didn't take care of myself.0

I was in the best shape of my life when I was 18-19. I had a job as a fork lift operator/dock hand. When I first started, I didn't have my fork lift liscense, so I had to use hand dollies, pallet jacks, and just carrying items. I'd move 5klb pallets 500' down the dock regularly, move stack super singles (big tractor trailer tires) 7 high by hand (240lbs each), and I'd get .5-1hr of cardio due to sorting and literally running orders to trailers every work night.
One thing, though, I can run further at one time now than what I have ever been able to.0 -
I think I was like in kindergarten, like 10 yrs old. Was a skinny *kitten* kid, then got lazy. haha0

Right now at this moment.0

mid-20's. I actually thought I was gross because I only had a 4 pack and not a 6 pack. I used to want to be a fitness competitor. I idolized Monica Brant. If I knew how to post pics, I would include one. I long for those days and will get them back. I will appreciate it this time!0

Now.
Haha, I am only 21, but in the past I have never been one to exercise everyday, eat healthy and continuously be getting more fit. So, now0 -
Highschool days cuz I had faster metabolism hadn't had kids yet and did alot of activities. Also was in quite a bit of weight lifting classes then.0

I was in good shape and athletic until 8th grade. It just went downhill from there....
So with me losing fat/weight now, I hope to be in the best shape of my life by the end of this year and I want to keep it up.0 -
Honestly, middle school and high school. 2hr training every single day.
But now, now I am starting to get close to what I used to be. Hopefully one day.0 -
i was THINNEST in high school my senior year... i weighed in at 119lbs and looked awesome in clothes. but i had ZERO athleticism at all.
now i'm 185 (topped out at 210) and while i'm not thin, i'm more FIT than i've been because of my workouts.
looking forward to more healthy fitness as these pounds keep on dropping :happy:0 -
In college, I was on the crew team and did serious aerobic and weight workouts. In my early 20's I did a lot of lifting, then joined a crew club again. So from about 20-25 yrs old, I was in totally kick-*kitten* shape. I've never been completely out of shape since then, but I haven't worked out hard consistently for more than a few months at a time. I think I'm to the point where I can lift as much weight now as I could back then, but I'm not quite as aerobically fit. And I'm carting around 15 lbs more (20 years later). Not interested in getting back down to college weight, but think I can be even stronger and as fit as I was then.
ETA- I think I'm in much better shape than 90% of people my age.0 -
Marine Corps Boot Camp... hands down!
And mostly because I had no other option, since once you're there, you are pretty much stuck like chuck.0 -
Honestly, I think right now. Even when I was in my early 20s/late teens and I exercised ALL the time, I was anorexic...so NOT healthy at all. Today I eat healthy for the most part and exercise appropriately.....so yes, def right now....0

1985 when I was a tactical signal officer. Ran 6-10 miles a day back then. That won't happen again but I would hope I could at least look and feel as good (well maybe without the hair - that's long gone as well). Hopefully by this summer. WIth all your help we shall see.0

My fitness level is highest now, but my best shape was when I was 15/16, I was 1.5 stone slimmer. I hated my body even then, but now I'd give anything to be back to that!0
-
right now. resting heart rate is 50 and i can do cardio with an average heart rate of 172 for 45 straight minutes.0
