Ehhhh... I drink from glasses at restaurants.
i know right? kinda like the same thing!
Exactly the same thing. Your husband's being silly.
^ This. I do know people who carry their own chop sticks/table wear but that's carrying things a bit far for me.0 -
Boiling should be just fine. If you wanted some extra security, try adding a few drops of bleach to some water and scrub all parts well.0

That's less grosser than sitting on a used bicycle seat.0

I would use it, be careful if you decide to put it in the dishwasher though as it may melt, it gets pretty hot in there! I melted the kids drinking bottles, lol.0

That's my thoughts, too. I don't keep track of everyone who's used the glasses, plates, and cutlery in my cupboards. When I went through basic training, my canteen had probably been used by others for years before I touched it. I drank from it all the time and I didn't die or get sick. Mechanical (scrubbing / getting dirt off) and chemical (sterilizing) cleaning should be plenty.0 -
you most likely come into contact w/more germs/bacteria etc touching things all day long than that poor little water bottle could think of....0

I do not think mauntain bike desiases are transmissible to humans.0

i have probably had other experiences, but I specifically remember playing football, basketball and whatever other sport and not having individual water bottles for every single player. We all shared them. Generally we didn't put our mouths on them, but you know out of 50 kids, someone was bound to have.
i'm sure it's fine.0 -
I would use it.0

Pee in it. That makes it officially yours.0
-
I'd use it. Is your husband a germophobe?0

A mountain biking girl!
Upload a pic of your bike. On topic though, I'd soak that bottle in water/bleach mix and then run it through boiling water and its good to go. We breath more germs than the bottle would give you.0 -

Well, you won't get anything from using it if you boiled it/bleached it. So if you are comfortable with using it go ahead.
I wouldn't, but that's because i am a little iffy about things that other people put their mouths on.
If i am not kissing you, my mouth won't touch anything your mouth touched.0
