    Christian rock

I listen to a very surprising amount of Christian rock, haha. My favorite band in the entire world is Red (treated myself to a Red hoodie for losing 5lbs :P ) . They're hard rock, and fun to run to.

If you've never heard them, here are a couple tunes from their shiny new album:

Enjoy! I'm curious to see if you like them :)

... seems I have to edit almost every post of mine today. geez...

I copy and pasted them all into a YouTube playlist. :)

Have you ever tried Google Music? I use it for all my music. Just upload your music to the Google server, download the app, and you're on your way. You can use RealPlayer to download youtube videos and cconvert them to MP3 right there so you can use them as music instead of video.

Even if you don't like a lot of rap or hip hop, you might want to try All Day, an album by Girl Talk. It's all upbeat and samples from over 300 songs from classic rock to pop to gangster rap, lol. It's very upbeat and I don't find myself dragging during any of it, perhaps because it's just little snippets of all sorts of music so it keeps me on my toes, literally.
  • The Strokes are similar and upbeat. I recommend "You Only Live Once" and "Taken For A Fool" , but all of their songs are very good running songs.
  • Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, etc... on days that Hip Hop won't do... :)

Doesn't sound like your genre of music but I find that electronic dance music is really good for running. It tends to have a fast beat and stays consistent (and those bass drops are great for your intervals, ha ha). I like the poppier more accessible EDM....David Guetta is my favorite. I could run forever to "Titanium" and the lyrics are great too!!!!

Girl Talk - Feed The Animals is one of the all time best work out albums! It's 300+ songs all very expertly mashed up by an awesome DJ! It never quits and there are even these perfect parts where it says "Don't stop! Don't stop!" So motivational and upbeat ^.^

I have a free app called DJ Tempo and if I hear a song I like I check it's tempo and throw it on my "Running" playlist or my "Serious Running" playlist depending on the tempo. Here are a few songs I've been enjoying lately. Had some ABBA on there, but every time it came on I'd click past it. So, I ended up removing it.

Pop Goes the World - Gossip
Report to the Floor - Josh Strickland
The Good Life - Three Days Grace
Are you Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz
    Respect Feat. Scratch - Pink
Boom Boom Pow - The Black Eyed Peas
    Song 2 - Blur
Home By The Sea - Genesis
Just a Job To Do - Genesis
Let It Will Be - Madonna
    Givin The Dog A Bone - AC/DC
    Love Shack - The B-52s
    Shame - Evelyn "Champagne" King
    Invisible Touch - Genesis
    America - Tracy Chapman
    Girls Got Rhythm - AC/DC
    Call Me - Blondie
The Beautiful People - Marilyn Manson
Girl Like That - Matchbox Twenty
One Way or Another - Blondie
Club Can't Handle Me - Flo Rida
    Superlove (Lenny Kravitz) - Avicii

I never thought Def Lep, AC-DC....

It's really weird, because I don't generally listen to that hair band, 80s kinda rock...but I love it when I run. I listen to the AC-DC station on Pandora a lot when I run...so lots of that 80s rock.
