Whether you call it a cheat day, a high calorie day or a weekly indulgence, what do you eat when you are being "bad"?

For me, it's Zaxby's. I feel sorry for people who do not live in the select states that have this restaurant. Totally yummy!

today is my 'cheat' day too. For over a week I've been eating under my calorie goal so I think I deserve a cheat day.

Never heard of it, but I'm in Ohio. I am trying really hard this time, so I try not to have those day's. TRY! But if it happens, my weakness is Taco Bell. I either get a cheese wrap or 1 taco of "their" healthy menu, and I still keep my numbers where they are supposed to be.. Due to my health issue, loosing this weight this time is very important to me! Keep up the good work!

Salt..anything with salt I'll eat...If the item also contains a ton of carbs I'm ALL OVER IT!!!!!

But I don't believe in denying myself everything, so I give myself a cheat a week...If I'm good with exercise and my food.

He he he... There's a bakery a little ways away that makes scrumptious red velvet cupcakes. I have splurged with one of those once. Aside from that, Chinese pork dumplings and hot and sour soup (sodium cheat). Every once in a while I'll have a bite of sweet darling's candy stash. I'm not very big on the cheats, though.

Once a week on Sunday is my cheat day. This Sunday I am going to get some ice cream at Logo Lone Oaks (I think there are only 2 and there here with me lol) and a 24 oz iced coffee from aroma joes. If that is not on the menu then we usually do the chinese buffet - where I indulge in fresh made sushi, crayfish, shrimp, and salad. Maybe I will do some crab rangoon, or a eggroll, but that all depends.
  • Chips. i don't have much a sweet tooth but chips just kill me. i don't by them on purpose and then my husband comes home with some and i have a bad day.

my weakness is chocolate/sweets so If I'm indulging then I turn to baked goods of the chocolate kind--brownies, reeces cups, snickers...

I literally just finished eating Zaxby's. YUM!

I'm a fan of Steak n' Shake when I need a cheat day for real junk food. I go for Texas Roadhouse when I want the indulgent bad day (perfectly cooked steaks will get me ANYTIME).

    Mine are:
    Mexican
    Extra Cheese and Eggplant Pizza
    5 Guys Burgers and Fries
Maine Diner_ Chili Bowls with Extra Cheese

I just looke at the Zaxby's place and the insane sauce and buffalo chicken is calling my name. A visit to my favorite uncle might be in store haha.

My friends tell me I need a cheat day once a week or I will get burned out. Is this true? I feel so guilty but dang that mexican food was great tonight.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who doesn't have iron clad willpower. My one indulgence a were usually keeps me sane. Lol.

@aprueitt it's not really true that you need a "cheat" day a week. It just helps me mentally. I'm one of those die hard all or nothing when it comes to diet and exercise. When I have my indulgence, it forces me to reexamine the way I think. Just because I had chicken fingers and French fries for dinner doesn't mean my "diet" is blown and I'll never lose the weight. It helps me not think of food as the enemy. Does this make sense? Lol.

I just finished reading Jackie Warner's book "This Is Why You're Fat (and How To Get Thin Forever)" . I love her workout dvds, so bought the book..Her plan consists of eating "clean" Monday-Friday and then allowing yourself 2 "cheat meals", not days on Sat and Sunday. She does this herself and recognizes that for most people, it is just not realistic to think that you will live your life and never eat icecream, have a cocktail or a candybar at the movies, etc..She talks a lot about sugar and how it is the real enemy, but if you eat a nearly sugar-free diet during the week, your body will not crave the sugar as much, but if you still want it a couple of times a week, it won't ruin your health and fitness plan..I have always had a huge sweet tooth and I find that this plan seems to be working so far...I will still have my mint patty frozen yogurt on the weekend, but during the week, the sweetness I get from fruit smoothies and sweet potatoes are enough for me..I was at a party at our YMCA last night and they were making s'mores and I thought about it for a second and then realized that I didn't even want one! Of course, I did have some kettle corn...Anyway, I think that "cheats" are just fine, as long as we don't have them everyday...I am trying to teach my kids the same thing and they do not have any weight issues..Just trying to instill healthy, but realistic habits..Life is too short not to cheat once in awhile, but to maximize our lives, we need to eat real, whole, clean foods most of the time!

  • Greasy fair/festival foods. I walk/bike to those so I'm not sure they count as a true cheat.

I always cheat at least a little bit on Sundays. I'm good for at least 1/2 meals, and sometimes both if I can, then I have some of my favorite snacks when I get home from dinner. Oh, and I make sure to go to the gym as well. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES FROM THE PUBLIX BAKERY! <3<3<3
