Favorite Beers of the World
Hey all, I just saw a topic about how lame it is to talk about beer. I disagree. So what's your favorite beers? any and all, domestic and foreign. I'm from St. Louis, home to Anheiser Busch (Inbev), beers such as Budweiser, Bud Light, etc have been a hometown comfort to me. But I love all beer. St. Louis has some really good local breweries besides AB/Inbev.
I have a lot of favorite beers, mostly IPA's and APA's like:
Schlafly APA
O'Fallon 5 Day IPA
so delicious
:drinker:

Another super awesome Brewery in Canada that models their beers after Belgium Trappist Monk recipes...Unibroue. These are unreal beers..

The one I'm most into right now is Pyramid Outburst IPA (high alcohol % and affordable in addition to being delicious). I'm drinking a pint right now lol. I need to experiment more though. There's so many great microbreweries around where I live (Portland, OR).0

I can only drink Guiness on St. Patty's day...but I love Smithwick's (and usually drink that) but if I ever go to Ireland, it'll be nothing but Guiness.0

Bell's Hopslam Ale is $20 a six pack and is so good it will make you cry and knock you out after 1.5. It is only released in small batches and is gone before you know it.0

Hopslam, sooooo good. It's already gone in my area, went fast.
My old reliable is Guinness. I prefer full flavors like IPAs, Stouts, Porters, Belgians like:

Locally brewed product (Minneapolis)
My fav German beer

My favorite is Avatar from Elysian Brewing (and you won't really find it anywhere except in WA).
But, of the world, can't beat a Franziskaner Weissbier.
Unfortunately, developing a gluten intolerance has sucked and I can only have tastes of beer now, but Harvester Brewing in Portland makes the best gluten-free beer (their IPA) I've had so far.0
