210 calories... Really?!?

I made potatoe wedges:

2 potatoes 325g (about 11oz) total, not each.
1 spoon olive oil (5ml)
a sprinkle of dried herbs

oven cooked for 20(ish) minutes on 180

the closest thing I could find on mfp food diary was 210calories, I'd have personally counted the oil alone at 100+! Can it be right?

I just found a similar recipe here: http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/oven-roasted-potatoes/Detail.aspx

So, for one large potato it counted 289 calories..... Not too far off from what you had.
  • It is surprising how high some things are!

Next time you make them, leave out the oil.............they are just as good that way...........I leave them in a bit longer to crisp up.

Good point - I was thinking that I use PAM while mixing them up in the bowl before roasting them, that helps alot. Again I don't eat taters much anymore.

This also works for roasting veggies like strips of carrots, zuchs, squash, parsnips (yum), etc...
