Calories - Raw vs Cooked?

Hi everyone,
I'm just starting to record my calories and have a question that I hope some of you might be able to answer.
Does the amount of calories in a food change once it is cooked?
When I make my own home-made recipes, I want to make sure I am recording the correct amount of calories, so as long as I know the amount of calories in the raw ingredients (plus any oils used for cooking), would the finished meal have the same number of calories.
Thanks

I think some things do change when cooked. Maybe just search the database (or google) to see if the particular foods you're preparing have a different calorie count for cooked vs raw.0

Nutrition data has the calorie listing for most foods both raw and cooked.
