Tracking progress- NOT using the scale?

I think that most of us can agree that the number on the scale is at best a mediocre way to track your progress.
I weigh myself once a week and take measurements once a month, but am thinking about cutting back or cutting out the scale all together. I'm in a healthy weight-range and my journey is more about getting fit than losing weight anyway.
I gained 2 1/2 lbs in March. However I also gained a 1/2 inch on my bicep, 1/4 inch on my thighs, 3/4 inch on my hips and Lost a 1/2 inch on my waist. I also lost a 1/2 of a percent of body fat (according to my scale). With all of this information I believe it was a muscle gain on my arms, thighs and butt, and a fat loss on my waist.
Does anyone else also take measurements in addition to weighing?- or Does anyone ignore the scale all together?

I'm putting the scale away for the entire month of April. I was addicted to daily weigh ins and it was too stressful. So that I don't cheat, I put it in a suitcase out in the garage.0

I need a break from the scale too. I may weigh on the 15th, but hopefully, I won't.0

I'm going to put my scale away too. For at least 2 weeks- possibly the whole month of April.
I know from this last month that my eating and exercise are working. Having the scale in there just makes an added stress for me at this point in time.
I did my progress pictures this morning and even though the scale is up you can see improvement. All that time I spent worrying was not worth the energy.0 -
Measurments are the best way. I got tired of the scale looooooooong ago. It's not reliable unless you have a significant amount of fat to lose.. Im noticing when I diet without excercise, I was 135 with a 26'' waist. Now that I lift weights (strength train) I'm at 140 and even better shape and a size 3, so I truly believe the scale is irrelivant at this point. healthy and fit is my priority and goal.0
