I recently purchased the polar FT 40 HRM. I cant find the user manual anywhere and I was wondering if both the watch and chest strap with receiver is water proof so that I can wear it while swimming. If anyone could help me out that would be great. I just dont want to get into the water and then it doesnt work anymore

That's the same model I have!
It's definitely good for swimming. Just don't push any buttons on the watch while you're underwater.0 -
I have one, haven't used it for swimming but you can use it for swimming. Enjoy0
