this is kinda ridiculous but i feel guilty when i'm sick. like i feel like i'm letting everyone down.
i've been up since 3:30 am running back and forth to the bathroom. i'm running on 2 hours sleep, and i couldn't even choke down breakfast.
now here's where i feel guilty. my manager let me go home early today. and i'm missing my class tonight because my mind is so foggy and i feel awful.
i dont know, i feel like people will be disappointed with me when i skip class or go home early from work. but i also think i'm disappointed in myself lol

anyone else?

I feel weak (like a weakling), not guilty. Though I admit The last time I was sick was late December. Prior to that I think I was a kid around 10-12 with the flu. So I been relatively lucky.

I'm feeling sort of sick today and I'm feeling guilty that I likely won't go do my run tonight, so yes.

I try not to. If I'm really sick I'm of no help anyone else and if you go into work, even though people acknowledge you're sick in the morning, they quickly forget. It's better to be out of sight and sick and out of mind.

Now this IS sick: I'm happy if my appetite goes because I lose a few pounds. I usually regain them in a week, though. At least it's something to look forward to.

Lord no! If anything it makes me feel less guilty when I get people to do things for me. Not that I do when I'm well...

All the time! When I came back from my honeymoon I was back at work the next day, and I came down with the worse flu ever. I still went into work but I was basically no help at all, my manager was like once you have done that job then go home. It was a half hour job, a hour and half later I was only half way through it cause I was so weak and I almost collapsed off the step ladder I was on. My manager just told me to go home lol. I felt so bad cause I had just been away for 5 weeks getting married and honeymooning, and I was going back home (and was away for another 3-4 day) feeling as sick as hell

I've been having, erm, "stomach problems" causing me to run to the bathroom every 15 minutes or so today. I did feel guilty because I kept having to say "be right back" then disappear for 5 minutes or so at work. Thank god we were slow.

I always feel guilty about letting people down. I had a few occasions when I actually dry heaved on the bus on the way to performances. You can't just not show up when you're an actor.

But I've been SICK-sick since I was 19, and in the past few years, it's gotten to the point where I can't function like a real person. Always sicker. I feel like a burden because I am a burden.

Not if I'm really sick. I don't believe in staying home because of a basic cold. But if you have a fever, no one wants you around anyway. And if you feel so awful that you can't focus on your work, there's no point in being there.
