Water - How Much Is Too Much?

On average I drink a half gallon to a full gallon of water per day. I've never gone over 1 gallon of water in a day but there are days where I easily could. I just stop myself. Is there a limit to how much water I should be drinking? I know the whole "divide your body weight in half and drink that number of ounces" thing. For me that's around 112 ounces which isn't far off from the gallon mark anyway...

I can't imagine you can drink too much, unless you go out of your way to chug and chug and chug.
I usually try to get 8 cups in my everyday and I usually feel pretty good, no persistent thirst throughout the day.
If you drink plenty of water and drink when you're not thirsty what is the point. If you drink so much water and are just urinating every 30 minutes because of it, then I'm pretty sure you are plenty hydrated.
My concern is if you drink a lot and are still thirsty, then I start to think about diabetes.0
