Need help destroying a chocolate bunny

My husband finally got the doctor's hammer down to lose weight and is willing to work with me. The trouble atm is his leftover Easter bunnies. He has 2 that need to be portioned out so he won't eat the whole 410g in one shot (like he usually would). My problem with these bunnies is getting them down to serving size (43g) portions without a) wasting too much chocolate and b) not making a giant mess.
My best and first option is to beat the packaged bunnies with a hammer/mallet until they are chunkified. My second option is using a warmed butcher knife to create bunny steaks. Are there other options that I'm missing which would work better than these 2?

I'd start with the ears...0

I only wish I had such dilemmas. I'd probably polish it all off and then it is done but that's just me.0 -
Bunny steaks! LOL
What if you melted them down and poured the chocolate into an ice cube tray to create nice, bite-size chunks?0 -
Melting the bunnies is a great idea!0

Bunny steaks FTW!!
Seriously, though, I really like her idea! ^^^ Ice cube trays are awesome for portioning.0 -
I think beating bunnies with a hammer or mallet is cruel and way too violent. I'm pretty sure they prefer to be eaten tail first.0

It's crap, toss it in the garbage ......
Buy dark, dark chocolate & eat a LITTLE bit each day ..... keep it in the freezer :drinker:0 -

I would melt them down.
Put the melted chocolate into a bowl of corn flakes or rice crispies.
Spoon the mixture into cup cake holders and put in the fridge.
Nice treats and portion sized as well.
Then again I would say right I am starting tomorrow so tonight I am having a chocolate fest and scoff both of them in one go.
Or you have the third option but its probably a bit kinky for public.
D.I.Y. chocolate body paint ;o)0 -

Good idea this.
Frozen choco-bunny cubes.0 -

Mail them to me...I will 'dispose' of them.0

I'd be breaking it into chunks or giving it away personally. I tend to buy the 85% cacao chocolate and it comes in convenient breakable squares.0

ahhh...sounds like you are interested in the hammer. You allude to the hammer twice in your post. Smash the bunny! Then use the bunny pieces to make little decorative additions to the top of this healthy recipe I saw in someone's post:

As much as I really hate waste, this may actually be the best option. The temptation of keeping that chocolate in the house is probably dangerous enough as it is. Good luck with whatever you do0 -
"fit" neighbor kid or nieces/nephews? If I am going to eat chocolate it's not waxy bunnies!0

One doesn't keep proper chocolate in the freezer, or even the fridge.0 -
I would eat the tail and the ears first (after I weighed them, which takes the fun out of biting the tail off, unless you spit it back out to weigh it), then cut the rest up into "bunny steaks".0
-
THROW THEM AWAY! then they will be down to portions of 0 and you do not have to worry about them.0
-
I'd have to permanently destroy it. Cover it in dish soap and toss it in the garbage. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A SINGLE SERVING OF CHOCOLATE, at least to me hah. The whole thing would be gone in an hour.0
