Do you sleep in on the weekends or take naps?

I'm up at 6 M-F - on the weekends I usually sleep until 9 ish and sometimes take an afternoon nap (only in the winter, never in the summer time). Am I the only adult that takes naps?

Unfortunately I have vicious insomnia and rely on sleeping pills to fall asleep. Even so I only sleep about 4-5 hours a night. This also makes it nearly impossible for me to nap even if I'm tired.
My husband naps every chance he gets. So does my youngest son.
Be happy that you are able to nap and take as many as you need. You deserve it.0 -
I'm not a napper-never have been good at it but my husband is big into them. Pretty much every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. So not fair because he goes to bed earlier than I do and gets up later than me during the week.0

you sound like me....
I love my naps!0 -
Internal alarm clock has me up at 7am EVERYDAY. Once I am up, I am up. No naps, even if I tried!0
-
Yes. you are the only adult in the entire world that takes naps. You should go see a doctor ASAP
:ohwell:0 -
1) Internal Alarm wakes me up at 5:30 every morning
2) My son wakes up around 6:30 so my wife sleeps in.
3) What is sleeping in?
4) Naps not allowed (only my son and wife take naps)0 -
I do long runs on Saturday so have to be up around 6 (I get up at 5 on weekdays). If i'm running more than 10-11 miles that day, I definately take a nap in the afternoon!
After getting up early for so many years, it's almost impossible for me to sleep past 7 no matter what the day.0 -
I'm up before 5 M-F...on the weekend, I'm lucky if my body will stay asleep past 6, so yes! I love me some weekend naps when I can get them! Especially if it's raining0

In my dreams! LOL
No, up between 3 & 4 am every morning M-F up no later than 5 - 5:30 am weekends and in bed around 9 - 9:30. Even on vacation I'm up right around 5 am.0 -
I LOVE Love love naps!!! I'd take one every day if I could! lol Like I wish I could go back to preschool where you were forced to take naps, I'd enjoy every nap I was ever made to take! lol0

During the week I get up at 5:17 on non-gym days and 4:20 on gym days. Weekends I get up at 5:30. I don't take naps...here and there I do when I am sick or just absolutely exhausted.0

I have chronic insomnia so I take something for sleep. I have been known to take naps, but I try not to so I can get that sleep at night. I get up the same time every day, my days of 'sleeping in' are over.0

I'm up around 5:30 M-F. If I'm out late on weekends, I can sleep late, but if I'm in bed by midnight, I will be up by 7 AM. I sometimes take naps on Sunday afternoons if I have time.0

I'm up at 6:30, bed by 10 each night, I never nap, but I do sleep in on the weekends to 10-11 am.0

When hubby is home and not traveling I usually try to squeeze in a nap on Sunday afternoons otherwise sadly I do not get naps even though I would love too.0

I love naps! ESPECIALLY in the summer. It's nice to open some windows and take a little nap. It doesnt get too warm here.So its nice.0

I work at home so I try to get up at the same time every day, since I work seven days a week. I rarely do naps unless I had to get up really, really early for something or had a particularly exhausting day. Sometimes I wake up feeling even more tired from a nap, so I'm not too fond of them.0

I live for my naps on weekends! Heck if I'm feeling overly tired I take a power nap after work!0
-
I get up between 6:30 and 7 every single day, including the weekends.
I don't want to mess with my sleeping schedule too much. I find that sleeping and getting up at regular times helps me sleep better and I feel way less tired for it.
I don't nap either, don't need it.0 -
I wake up early Monday through Friday for the gym (4am or 5am depending where I am) so on the weekends I "sleep in" til 8 or 8:30am then get up and since it's nice out, go for a run (winter time I'd hit the gym). Depending on what's going on, sometimes I take a nap but if my boyfriend and I are busy, then I don't0

I get up at 5:30 M-F. I would sleep in on weekends if I could but with kids and their activities it is tough. I am lucky if I can stay in bed until 8. Usually 7:30. However I love my naps. After running around all morning usually around 2 or 3 I get back, put the tv on and doze on and off for 1-2 hours. I think it started way back in college staying out till all hours, getting up for class and then coming back to my dorm and going to bed for 1-2 hours before dinner. Love the naps.0

Sleep's the cousin of death for me. I will only take naps if I accidentally fall asleep when I finally sit down somewhere.0

Sleeping in feels like such a waste of time! A nap, on the other hand, doesn't. I don't know why.0
-
I take naps, I have to take naps the only time I can go to the gym is at 8 at night or later, so I need a nap so I will have the energy to sweat .
Plus when I'm not working or cleaning the house I'm playing with my two year old, she really wears me out, but I love it.0 -
i don't have the luxury of sleeping in or taking naps on the weekends.0

My sleeping schedule is based on my classes and what times they start at... On days that I don't have classes I can sleep for 8-9 hours then my body wakes up. What time I wake up is based on what time I go to bed! In all honesty, I take more naps now than I probably ever have in my life :blushing:
