2 NSVs for me this week even though the scale isn't moving much
Bought 2 pair of capris a while back - one that were quite snug (size 10) but I would be that size once spring comes and the other a goal size (size 8).. We'll the size 10 were pretty baggy and the 8 looked just fine (Liz Clayborne must run big 'cuz can't believe I'm a 8)

Ribs - not the BBQ kind but the kind you can feel when you rub your sides!

Surprise! Liz Clayborne DOES NOT RUN LARGE! They run true to size. Congratulations!!

I had a bit of a shock today. Unfortunately, I never did a before pic and should have done. I like to see my progress how I look on my Brothers Harley bike.

I have just taken this pic and the yellow line is where my stomach used to be. It wasn't very comfortable having the petrol tank under it. Since then, have lost 202 pounds (14 stone 6 pounds).

If I had a licence, I would be on it right now.

I jogged down the drive in shorts at home to open the gate for hubby and he just kept going on and on about the nice muscles in my legs. I told him, "Thank you, I had been working on them" and he says, "It shows."
I even got a compliment from my brother about my calves and he NEVER compliments anyone.

My NSV is food related. Went with hubby today to Costco. By the end of the trip I was ravenous. I had eaten a light breakfast and already run, and forgot to grab some fruit before leaving the house. I whipped out the MFP app and started looking up calories of food in the area. Food court, Five Guys, Which Wich and when my husband said, "well, what do you want?" My answer, I'd really rather hurry home and eat something healthy. Yeah!

Oh and I have finished both the 30 day Shred and Ripped in 30. Started the Body Revolution yesterday and found it kind of easy.

Thanks, everyone for sharing, as my weight loss is painfully slow and your NSV carry me through.

Last week I felt like I couldn' see any results from the weight loss so far and I was starting to get down on myself a little. So on Monday I went to my hairdresser and cut off 6 inches of my hair (for my 20lb reward). Finally I can tell that I have really lost some weight. NSV....many compliments from coworker :) Happy Thursday all!

    That's great! I can't wait until I have that experience. :)

My NSV is that I have gotten up early every day this week and exercised before work! So very proud of myself! I didn't get to this morning because something unexpected came up but I plan on making up for it after work!

Congrats to everyone for all of your NSVs!!

yay everyone! these are all really exciting and encouraging!

i've really been trying hard this week to hit my macros, and i've been doing a lot better than in the past! i was so stuck on calories before that i hardly even noticed the other numbers! i'm so glad i've gotten away from that mindset and started focusing on other things. AND i love my new protein powders and i have been enjoying finding new ways to incorporate them into my food. all of my experiments have been successful thus far!

i've also been trying to do new things at the gym. i am working against getting into a comfortable routine, i want to work hard and challenge my body with new things! i'm doing a lot better at getting out of my comfort zone. and it's been paying off! i'm seeing and feeling new muscle definition/tightness!

I keep reaching down to rest my hand on my belly (apparently a habit I have developed since the belly popped up and didn't even realize I did until today, lovely), and the belly isn't where I expect it to be. It's SHRINKING!

I have had several besides the hubby text that I want to share. Can't help it! I am so excited!

This week, several people have commented about my weight loss and told me I look great, what am I doing, look younger.

I have been trying for 3 weeks to do a full get-up with 12 kg (26pd) kettelbell. Finally succeeded on Monday!! Did 2 on each side.

16 kg (35 pds) dbk cleans on Thursday!

The best was my 13 year old daughter saying, "Mom, don't take this wrong but do you know how far you have come?" Me - "what?" "Now, don't get offended but I was looking at some old pix and you have lost alot of weight!" Now why would that offend me!? It tickled me to DEATH!!! I am doing this to be a better role model for my kids! Glad they are noticing!

My 3 year old son saw me jogging on the threadmill the other night and asked me if i was exercising, i told him yeah, and then he give me a thumbs up and said "good job daddy".

This one makes me want to cry. Good job, everybody! These are so fun to read!

I put on my wedding band this morning and I felt it loose on my finger. I guess I'm dropping ring sizes too :D

After exactly a week of tracking and not seeing much improvement on the scale - I decided (3 weeks earlier than planned) to see if my measurements had moved..

    1 inch on waist
    1 inch on chest/bust area

    YAY! :)

I've been wearing some old workout pants that fit perfectly the "last time" I took off weight...but now even those are ready to fall off. So I beat my own previous NSV.

    Nice job, kirstA90!

I bought new, 2" smaller pants that I couldn't fit into pre-MFP. I fit into them at Easter, and I put them on again yesterday, and now the butt and legs are starting to sag already :-)
  • I've been very disciplined for 2 weeks and here are my successes that I am so proud of:
    1. Put a pair of pants on and did not have to wiggle to get in them
    2. No craving for sugar or alcohol (thought this would be the hardest change to make)
    3. Consistently have worked out at 6:00am 4 days per week
    4. Tracked all my intake and counted calories
    5. Most of all, I FEEL DAMN GOOD ABOUT MYSELF!

    JUST DO IT:love:

I love reading All of these NSVs! Everyone is doing an amazing job. Mine is that I have put so many miles on my hiking boots that in 6 months I have worn them out completely. Just got a new pair to hike off the last 36 lbs!

I went visiting friends today, taking cream cakes with me (as it was my turn) and I didn't even want to eat one. Friends were happy too, as I can easily scoff at least 4, so they got to eat the extra ones

I had to have my wedding ring sized down to a 5 because it was falling off!
  • I'm only 2 weeks in on MFP but my best NSV thus far was my husband saying;

"Babe, I can tell you're losing weight....your butt isn't as big"
That man, he cracks me up!

    Also:
    -3.5" off my hips
    -2.5" off my waist
    -1" off my neck
Loose wedding rings! (Husband doesn't want to have them re-sized again, we just got married!)
    and appx 5 pounds!
    and a smidge of confidence.
  • My husband keeps feeling me up.

    That cracked me up!

I ran 3 miles comfortably at a 10 minute mile pace which I have never been able to do! Also fit into a pair of my pre pregnancy jeans that I thought I'd never get over my hips again!

    I had to share!

I had my blood pressure checked this week and its down to 121/69 considering I was somewhere in the range of 145/80 right before I started losing weight.. I reckon thats a pretty awesome NSV.

Also! was able to go into a store and just pick clothes off the rack and try them on.. and they all fitted. Which was pretty damn amazing too!
