I'd love to know which HR monitors you guys use and what you'd recommend as I'm interested in buying one!

    I think the best kind are Polar heart monitors. They vary widely and range a great deal in price!

    I purchased two Polar F11's from ebay. One for me and one for my daughter. I haven't received them yet though. I only looked at the Polar brand because so many people seem to recommend that brand.

    I love my Suunto T3. Had a Polar F6 and returned it for the Suunto, which has more features that I like and use...

    I don't think any brand is better than an other. Polar is very popular though, many different models.
    Make sure you don't buy features you don't really need. You'll pay for it.
