Zig zag cals

Options
Okay so I switched my cals to TDEE way however I still on workout days eat 1600 even though it says mateniace plus 20% on workout days I can't see myself consuming 2400 cals five days a week and losing weight. So far the way I have been doing things is working however I just seen a post about zig zagging cals. Has anyone done this with success??

Here's the link

This is what it tells me to do. I think it maybe an interesting thing to try

I have heard of it before but have not personally tried it (like I said not on purpose anyways) - if you are stalled on weight loss a change in schedules is always a good idea :) if you try it - good luck :)

Yeah...I don't think most people naturally eat the same exact number of calories/day. I'm also doing TDEE minus about 15% so keeping most of my days around 2000 cals...give or take a few.

It's hard to tell whether its working or not as I'm not deliberately doing it, as I tend to be hungry on lifting days, so eat close to TDEE then. Otherwise, I'm TDEE-20%. my weight is dropping.

ETA: my weekly calories average out,

interesting! I do find that I naturally zig zag (didn't realize it until now) but every couple of days or so after hard workouts I'll naturally be a little hungrier. I always listen to my body and if I'm hungry I eat so it works out! Great info, thanks for sharing!

Ok, so I never, EVER come close to eating that many calories even on days I exercise. And it is way off what MFP has for me. The BMR is about average what the most sites tell me.

I'm not really sure what to do with this information, but there it is :)

I completely agree with zig zagging. I lost weight after having my daughter (1st pregnancy) exactly that way. I didn't use guidelines on a site, I just went a few hundred above and below my BMR on and off-not really on a specific schedule. I zig zag now without even realizing it until I view my report for the week.
