Hi, today will be day 7 for me. Feel free to add me!0
-
I just started today. Jillian kicked my butt!! I couldn't do everything to it's fullest extend and when I got tired I just kept moving but reduced some of the motions. I'm so out of shape!! Now I just have to figure out how to log this in my fitness pal0

I was told to log it as circuit training0 -
Hi, today is day 8 for me. So far so good  I also do BBL. Feel free to add me, we can all use added support. Good luck!0
-
I just finished Day 8 level 2 yesterday, I love the shred. I have continued losing weight while doing it.
Pros- it's a great, easy workout that takes inches off your waist.
Cons- It's really hard. Jillian kicks your butt, but the more you do it, the easier it gets.
I HIGHLY reccommend it.0 -
today is my day 5 its already getting easier to keep up, the worst part for me when starting, the first 3 days get ready to be in so much pain, it hurt to even squat my booty onto the potty! legs hurt the worst but my whole body felt like it had been hit by a semi-truck.
And its deceiving pain, it don't get bad until the middle of the night, and so on. ( I started this last Wednesday but skipped the weekend so I started counting days this Monday.) I have already lost a couple lbs AND several inches off my whole body, 2 off my bust, about 1.5 off waist and about 2 off my thighs 1 off my biceps! I am using 2lbs hand weights & going to be stepping up to 4lbs as soon as I get to the store to buy them
Good luck!0 -
Doing level 1 day 4 today. My arms are killing me, (using 5lb weights) but it's a good work out, and even though it's only 20 minutes or so, I am dripping with sweat when I'm done.
Pros: it's quick, easy to follow
Con: I don't burn as many calories as I thought I would0 -
Hi everyone! I'm new on here but am about to start 30 Day Shred tonight. I've started it 4 or 5 times but never completed it. Hoping that if I stay on here it will keep me motivated!0
-
I started yesterday, and my arms and back are certainly feeling it today.0
-
Starting this evening after work...should be interesting!!!0
-
I started it two weeks ago but I don't do it each day. After day 1 I was hurting all over but it's much easier to do now....
PROS: Doesn't take as long as working out at the gym does
CONS: Jillian's voice :laugh:0 -
I'm on it!
4th day, level 1. I'm planning on taking breaks every 3rd day to fit in some added variety of exercise, but it's been good so far. She's pretty motivating. Take before & after pics, even if it's just for you. For me, looking forward to that side by side comparison is really helping to keep me going.0 -
I did it and it's a great workout but being strict about my diet has done for my weight loss. i just need to get motivated to do BOTH at the same time:) lol0
-
I started today too. Can't wait to update my pics in a month! (I hope).0

Actually just about to do day 2 of level one! Lets keep eachother motivated! I'm adding it to my regular workout schedule. On an average week I am doing an easy jog Sunday, no cardio Monday, run on Tuesday, meet with a trainer on Wednesday + cross training, run on Thursday, nothing special on Friday, and a long run on Saturday. I am really looking to tone up and get my muscles to shine while still losing weight. I've lost almost 40 so far, only about 15 more to go until I reach the goal I initially set for myself Getting healthy = best choice you'll ever make!0

Lvl 1 Day 7 for me. I didn't take pics though, oop.0
-
Day 3 for me. I find the squat+press with weights the hardest part of workout 1, and I can't do all the pushups on my toes - that's my aim before I switch to workout 2.0
-
1st day of Level 3 for me. I love this workout. I have lost 3 lbs. But feel so much lighter and thinner. Level 3 kicked my butt today though. Ugh!0
-
i just started level 2 today and omg! i almost died. but its a really good workout. i'm already feeling toned in some areas0
-
there are no cons to it that I have found. I just finished level 1 today. move to level 2
1. start slow
2. do as many modifactions as you need to , you will get more done
3. keep your water bottle handy
4. use an actual mat and not a towel its so uncomfy
I lost 5 pounds so far doing it as well as some inches.0 -
I'm on Day 5 of Level 3. Just keep pushing, the first time I did level one I could only do about half. By the end of the 10 days I could do the whole level. It amazed me how quickly the body builds up strength.0
-
I just did day 2 of level 1 and it definitely made me realize how out of shape I am. I am sure there are leg muscles in there somewhere, but I can't seem to find them ! I could not do everything she did so I modified but then I felt like I was cheating...but my body physically could not do it. It is so frustrating when there is a mind/body disconnect, but I know that everyday we will all get stronger!0
-
Started today too...watched level one through first and thougth okay I can do that..I wasn't wrong but it was tuff. What kept me going was that during the preview my five year old kept doing the exercises...jumping jacks, push ups...it was so cute and motivating I couldn't help but get my butt in gear.
Good luck to all!0 -
I just finished Level 1, Day 5 and I'm looking forward to starting level 2 soon. I'm not cursing Jillian as much as I was when I first started, but I sure am feeling it in my muscles tonight!0

When I had done 30 day shred. I was 196 5'2 starting out. My ankles and knees started hurting so bad but i kept going. I think only made it to day 23 or something. I started switching up with running and swimming instead of only doing the dvd. I do remember doing Level 1 for like 15 days then switching to level 2 and never amking it to level 3. I think I could probably do level 3 now because I'm 155 now and I do Turbofire, which is really high energy. I think 30 day shred is a great fast and intense workout. You will rally firm up. Make sure to watch your food intake and try to walk a lot because you ojnly burn like 200 calories per workout.0

I'm starting this tomorrow! I've seen a lot of people post their result photos online and it's surprising how awesome your body can get in such a short amount of time. I'm looking forward to seeing some results since gaining almost 20 pounds in college. I'm definitely going to need some motivation though... I'm sure I'm going to be sore for a while.0
-
Finished day 7 of Level 1 today. Just looked at what's to come in Level 2... ahh!!! Feel free to add me0
-
I also just started Level 2 today and it was SOOOO hard. I had just gotten comfortable with Level 1 so I was feeling pretty good about my progress until Level 2 kicked my butt, lol. Can't wait to say I've gotten comfortable with Level 2 and then Level 3. It's a fantastic workout. It's the kind of intense workout I wouldn't do without a trainer pushing me so it's awesome I get that experience for the cost of a DVD and in the comfort of my home. Let's keep each other motivated. It's so encouraging to read about everyone's journey!0
-
Moving on to Level 2 today. It's great!
PROS: It's a short workout, I feel great afterwards, and I can see my fitness level improving.
CONS: It's tough, and Jillian's voice starts to get on my nerves. I mute her and put on my music!
Enjoy!0 -
I found when I was younger, this would be enough, but for me, over 50 now, 20 minutes, even very intense, isn't enough. I like her strength exercises but if I only do 20 minutes, it doesn't help me lose.
Also in the before/after photos, age and how they ate I'm sure is a big factor. You will lose and firm but how much depends on your body/metabolism and age. Don't get discouraged if you don't duplicate someone else.0
