Not exactly new, but in need of some new friends

Hey, I've been on MFP for just over a year now and have managed to lose and maintain about a 6 kilo weight loss. I initially started as a work based weight loss challenge, but most people I'm friends with don't log consistently anymore. Still looking to lose probably around another 8-10 kilos. I have no time frame, just want it to come off slowly and make changes that stick.

I'm a big fan of moving move to eat more and looking for liked minded friends to bounce ideas with. I am currently training for a Give a Tri Triathalon (the shortest distance an adult can do :P). Exercise was never my friend until last February when I discovered the couch to 5 K app and put on my running shoes. I am still quite slow and seem to only run from Autumn (March) to Spring (October). It is way too hot to run in summer so that's when I switch to the pool.

A few more things about me, I'm a bit of a geek. Love fantasy novels (Feist, Sanderson, Jordan), love musical theatre and I teach both singing and piano.

    Welcome! I too have been on here a while and looking for new friends. I did the triathlon, here in Chicago, last summer and would love to bounce fitness ideas and encourage eachother. Friend request sent.
