Calories and HRM question!

Hey guys. I started exercising consistently around January... up until about 3 weeks ago, I could pretty much burn 100 calories every 10-12 minutes... Now I am barely burning 80... I've lost around 30 pounds since January... Could it just be that since I am more active and have lost weight it is harder to burn those calories??? I thought this would happen eventually just not as soon as it did! I seem to be okay on machines and have tried switching it up... Thoughts???
I use the Polar Ft4 with the chest strap.

as you lose weight and get in better shape, doing the same exercise will result in lower calorie burn.
