I love my Syntrax Nectar protein powders but so far I only like it in 1% milk. I want to cut calories though. I tried it with water and gagged while drinking it. I need it to be thicker and with that milky texture. I could just suck up the calories and use the milk. I was looking at ALmond milk but it still has a lot of calories but without the protein, and I think I tried Soy milk before, I dont think I liked it but that was when I just drank it plain.

What does everyone do?

I use water but I also have been putting frozen fruit in mine which gives it a good milkshake texture. I use body fortress chocolate whey protein.

I also use Almond Breeze unsweetened almond milk. 2/3 cup is 26 calories. Then I throw in a few ice cubes too.

Farmland Dairy makes a great milk called "Skim Plus"...I discovered it when I started drinking skim, but could not stand to put it in my coffee. The texture is rich and the taste is unbelievable! Now, I use it in everything.
    Good luck!

When I want to pump up my calories I'll use Silk Lite Soymilk Orginal, only 60 calories per 8 oz. glass. Otherwise I'll mix my protein powder with water, golden flax seed & PB2.....it's so tasty, I love it!!!

If you're concerned about the calories but like a little flavour in there, go for unsweetened almond milk and add a dash of vanilla. Then you get the benefits of yummy almond vanilla milk, but none of the sugar :)

I mix my protein with Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry juice and I add fresh or frozen strawberries. I don't like water or milk in my smoothies.

Almond Breeze, Unsweetened. I like the plain.. I tried the coconut and vanilla and they are both too strongly flavored for me.

Normally I use water and just choke it down but I always buy almond milk unsweetened for my spinach shakes. So I am going to start using them in my plain protein shakes as well

    Coconut milk.

Same here. I freeze it in ice cube trays & it helps make the protein shakes taste great & they are thicker, too. Very healthy too.

I haven't had cow's milk in probably 15 years or more and don't eat any soy products at all.

I usually just use filtered water but I splurge with Organic Coconut Milk or Organic Fat-Free Milk.
I use frozen fruit and whey protein power.
Oh, don't forget the unsweetened Cocoa powder!
