Anyone out there have a tried and true tasty but "healthy" bean burger recipe? I'd prefer something not too high in calories or fat but I know it might be tough!

I can do a Google search for one but you guys have never let me down :)

i like this one but w 2 eggs. I will throw in some corn or finely grated carrot if i have any. I often replace the bell pepper w finely minced pickled jalapeno and omit the hot sauce:

i personally believe in starting with really good and flavorful beans. this is the recipe I use for many of the beans I cook:

I use this recipe to make black beans all of the time. I use homemade chicken stock instead of water and add just a tsp or so of salt to the crockpot.

these are delish. I did throw in some cayenne for a kick and I think chili powder.

saving this for later - I need one that doesn't use corn. Just something I cannot eat due to dietary restrictions!

1 can of black beans drained and rinsed, mashed lightly.
1 cup of old fashioned rolled oats
eyeball a good amount of ketchup ( I recently tried BBQ sauce)
eyeball a good amount of mustard ( I used dijon)
    salt and pepper to taste
mix all together very well and shape into a patty, I just flop them onto my baking sheet then shape with the spoon LOL
preheat oven to 375 and bake for 7 minutes, flip, bake 7 minutes more.
You can eat these alone with some veggies or you can use a bun

Another recipe is to use browned mushrooms with cooked rice mash into a patty with seasonings you would like then bake

I really really like this one... and my carnivore husband does too! I use 1 cup of breadcrumbs that I buy at store in place of the crushed-up bun...

I had the absolute best bean burger EVER today at the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina. I'm going to search for that recipe...I definitely recommend trying to find it...it was absolutely killer!!! I ate mine with just the patty which was topped with roasted tomatoes and smoked provolone.
