Thank you Dominos

Cal-O-Meter is one of the best fast food website tools ever! Adam doesn't want to cook today because he just cleaned the kitchen. So, I decided we'd get Dominos.
I clicked on the nutrition link thinking it would just give me list of hard to decipher variations. Instead, I was able to choose my crust, toppings, and size and determined that my choice of a thin crust with pineapple and spinach would allow me to eat the whole pie without running out of calories! I have to get a small though which is fine because thin crust gets soggy as leftovers. It also stopped me from falling under the spell of the chocolate lava cakes.

Thanks for sharing this! Good info! This is also a good reminder that we must plan to succeed....your planning helped you make good choices! yay! :drinker: (Chocolate Lava Cakes....OMG! Is that legal?? )
Your puppies are cute!0 -
I've used this before and it's awesome! Chipotle, Burger King and Red Robin also have an interactive nutritional sites. BK and RR's sites allow you to go so far as to pick an item off the menu and even customize it to match how you order it to be as accurate as you want! I LOVE interactive sites like these - way better than pdfs!!! But then even pdfs are better than nothing lol.0

I love it too!!!!! We order pizza from Domino's a lot and this past Monday we got 2 pizzas 'cause they were buy 2 2-topping pizzas for $6/each and my half I got pepperoni & jalapeno and it was nowhere in the database! I went to their website and was like "I'M IN CALORIE COUNTING HEAVEN!!!" lol Okay, I'm being dramatic, but still. I love it. Have you tried their sandwiches? I've only had the philly cheese steak (SUPER GOOD) and that was before the lifestyle change so I don't know what kind of nutrition facts it has but wow. I want to try some of their other ones now that we saw the picture of them on Monday!0

Panera and Taco Bell have those too. It is very helpful!0

I don't really care for Dominos but this is awesome and I think I will probably be opting for Dominos over some of the other pizza places.0

What exactly is the website you used?0

I've had the Chicken Bacon Ranch & the Chicken Parm... they are soooo good. Of course, this was pre-losing weight journey
I had been wanting to try those pasta bread bowl but I read an article the other day from the Eat this, Not that guy and it said one of those was 2,900 calories. That just makes me sick to my stomach... so glad I've never had one and now I never plan to! lol0 -
Blech. I can't eat a whole small pizza, even if it is thin crust. I haven't been on this diet all that long but apparently my body has already adjusted to smaller portions. I used to be able to eat 3/4 to all of a large thin crust. I'm going to end up being over 400 calories short today because I just can't eat any more. Apparently I SHOULD have gotten the lava cake! I think we should be able to reduce our caloric intake for days that we avoid the heat by sleeping until 2:30 pm.
SammyLynn: It's www.dominos.com. If you're lucky, you can even order and pay online. Alas, apparently my town is too small for that kind of technology. But, I can still build my order online so I get it right when I call. If you can't order online in your area, put in the zip code for a larger city near you and choose a store that has the option. That will allow you to build your order online. Just make sure you call the right store for the actual order!
Anyway, at the bottom of the home page is the nutrition link.
I'm glad to know about the other restaurants that do this, specifically Red Robin and Panera. I rarely get to Panera these days since the nearest one is over half an hour away. But, the boyfriend and I go to Red Robin far too often.0 -

I hate the sandwiches but I love the pasta! I don't get the bread bowls anymore though. I checked the calories for the mac and cheese.
With a bread bowl, you're supposed to get 2 servings and each one is over 700 calories. Without the bread bowl you get to eat the whole thing for under 700 calories! So, either get it with and make yourself eat only half, or get it without. Honestly, I don't notice any difference in my enjoyment without the bread bowl. I like the pasta more. The bread bowl is way too salty for my tastes.0 -
I like Domino's Pizza myself, but I thought I would be doing good and got one of those subs from there, instead of pigging out on the pizza...lets just say that I could have eaten 5 or 6 pieces of frickin pizza for the calories that sub cost me....those are devils in disuise....0

Yea they are! I worked there when they were introducing them, they are loaded with cheese (every single one of them, some have multiple types of cheese loaded on it) and they coat the top bread in liquid butter.0
