I eat 1/4 of the slow cooking steel cut with almond slivers. I usually put it in a slow cooker and let it cook all night. I also like the Bob's Red Mill extra thick rolled oats. If I use the quick-cooking oats or instant oats, I am not satisfied for as long.
I also plan a snack of around 100 calories 3-4 hours after I have the oats.

Half a cup! 1/4 is never enough for me either. I like mixing it with almond milk and putting it in the fridge overnight, and then add fruit and chocolate protein powder..... Mmmm so many calories but it's just so good that i don't care.

We cook a whole package of Bob's Red Mill Organic Steel Cut Oats in the slow cooker every weekend. I pack 5 containers with 2 cups each of cooked oats for me and 1 cup/day for my wife. Also put on some homemade apple butter and cinnamon. Nice having breakfast prepacked and ready to go each workday.

I don't know about cups as a unit of measurement, but google says 90g = 1 cup

I have around 75g, so 0.8 of a cup just over?

1/2 cup is a serving (1/4 cup isn't, that's barely any food at all!)

Half a cup every morning boiled with one cup of water, one quarter apple and one stick cinnamon. After boiling I add half a cup skim milk. I served it with a cinnamon powder topping (one quarter tsp)

I eat 1/3 cup. I cook it twice. Once using water, then I add coconut milk. Sprinkle some raisins. Tastes like rice pudding

That sounds delicious! I'll have to try adding milk to mine sometime.

1 cup for breakfast. Sometimes I will have more at lunch or dinner if I was too lazy to go shopping and that is my cue to get out and get more food.

I usually have 1/4 to 1/3 cup, I cook it with water or milk.
I actually add so much stuff that 1/2 makes way too much for me.
For example - banana, frozen berries, frozen fruits, apple, pear, raisins, cinnamon, honey, crunchy cereal, PB, .. the list goes on. I feel like I spent a life time finding things I like to have w/ my oats haha.
  • 1/3 of a cup for me ,I make it with 1/3 of a cup of milk and 1/3 of a cup of water and microwave til done. I agree 1/4 is not enough and 1/2 is too much for me love me oats

I use porridge oats, 40g if having porridge, I add cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger. Also some diced apple or dried fruit.

I also put them on greek yogurt, about 5g oats and 5g honey.

1/2 cup dry oatmeal with 5 almonds grated. I used make it with milk. But I now make it with water. I needed to get out of the plateau, so decided to cut the diary products. It is working like a charm and I am loosing weight again.
